It is not contradictory to say that the generation stage is the accomplishment of common attainments and the six branches are the means of supreme attainment. If it were contradictory, then it would be contradictory to accomplish both attainments with one path. If that were the case, then the path of the completion stage would not accomplish common attainments. If it is said that supreme attainment cannot be accomplished if practiced other than through the six branches, then this indicates that supreme attainment cannot be accomplished if not practiced through the six branches. However, it is definitely not indicating that a path other than the six branches is not a means of supreme attainment. Although supreme attainment cannot be accomplished by practicing only the generation stage, what is contradictory about the generation stage becoming the cause of supreme attainment? Otherwise, the same would be true for the completion stage, and each of the six branches of the completion stage would also not accomplish it. Therefore, those would not be the path to supreme attainment. If the generation stage is absolutely not suitable as a means of supreme attainment, then in terms of recitation, since two recitations, common and supreme, are mentioned, how does it not contradict that in the meaning of common, one's own explanation is that the common cause is the cause of both attainments? Also, the meaning explained in the sadhanas of the Blessed One Akshobhya and the Wheel of Supreme Bliss, etc., is also uncertain, and it would contradict all the methods of attaining Buddhahood mentioned in the context of the benefits of meditating on them. If both paths are methods of both attainments, then why are these two paths mentioned separately as means of common and supreme attainment? Because the generation stage can accomplish common attainments even without relying on the completion stage, it is a means of common attainment, and the generation stage is the ripening agent of the roots of virtue that give rise to the realization of the completion stage. Because the main path to supreme attainment is the completion stage, it is said to be the means of supreme attainment, and the two means are not contradictory. Sonam (སོར་བསམ་) is explained by other qualified individuals through the path of the completion stage, and according to the oral transmission, it seems necessary to explain the generation stage as well. Therefore, in general, the entirety of Sonam, whether it is the generation stage or the completion stage, both acknowledge the parts that should not be done. Specifically, one should act according to which part of the two stages is explained in one's own treatise. In that case, according to the view of the noble ones, it would be good to explain the part of the completion stage, I think.

It is not considered good to show the illusory body through clinging, which will be discussed later. Regarding the appropriateness of the aggregation method described in the "Lamp That Clearly Illuminates," it will be easier to understand if discussed later when explaining the definition of the six branches. The teacher Gewang Chukchu (སྒྲ་དབྱངས་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ།) explains that withdrawal is the basis for body isolation, which I think means that withdrawal is what is to be cultivated and meditation is what cultivates it, as stated in the "Lamp That Clearly Illuminates." The clinging mind isolation indicated by the two words "autonomy," the illusory body indicated by "separately appearing," and the three "feet" indicating the last branch, indicating the two meditations, are explained separately from the branches of the union meditation. Furthermore, it is not good to think that the path of spontaneous accomplishment is indicated separately from the union by the last three "feet." These will also be discussed later when explaining the treatise on the six branches, which will make it easier to understand. Secondly, some Tibetans think that Gelen (གླན།) uses withdrawal to indicate conduct, which is refuted: it is said that conduct comes first in achieving excellence, which is a contradiction in order, and this is the same in your own system. If so, then it is also unreasonable to think of withdrawal and contemplation as the illusory body, because the illusory body comes first in achieving excellence, which is even more contradictory than the former. If you say that what is said first does not necessarily come first, then the same is true for conduct. If you point out the fault of contradictory order, then the six dharmas and the five stages are similar. Before the life force vajra recitation, withdrawal, contemplation, and the illusory body arise. After clinging to luminosity, recollection mind isolation, and the illusory body of the third stage arise, which are very contradictory. Furthermore, in the five stages, the life force path, as well as mind isolation and the illusory body, must arise in sequential order. Therefore, in the Kalachakra system, the life force vajra recitation, as well as recollection mind isolation, must arise before the illusory body of withdrawal and contemplation, and a part of recollection must arise before clinging, because they have admitted that these are the same meaning. This kind of fault is the fault of insisting on saying that things that cannot be said to be the same meaning are the same meaning. Similarly, the illusory body is the eleventh bhumi, luminosity is the twelfth bhumi, and these are counted from the stage of aspiration.
