Such a king of life-force exertion, which is sufficient with the oral instructions introducing the arising and absorption of wind, is the oral instruction of the three bodies of the great Vajradhara Khedrup (Nagarjuna). The method of pressing the key points on the body, practicing like the five stages in one day, will be explained. Next, third, explaining the completion stage of this tantra in detail has three parts: explaining the ultimate way of cutting through the essence of the oral instructions; other oral instructions of the previous lamas also need to be in accordance with it; and actually explaining the order of the stages of the path of the completion stage. First, the ultimate place where the oral instructions of the five stages exist is the root tantra of Guhyasamaja, so that is the ultimate treatise of that oral instruction. However, in that tantra, the completion stages of the five stages are expanded and hidden invisibly. In order to open that lock and reveal the hidden, the explanatory tantras were spoken. Even so, if it is not spoken from the mouth of a qualified lama who can combine the root and explanatory tantras and understand the complete meaning of the tantra, then even a person like a precious gem cannot fully understand the meaning of the tantra, so it is necessary to rely on the oral instructions of the lama. In the five stages, it is said: In the glorious Guhyasamaja tantra, these very things are expanded and abide here, following the explanatory tantra, understand from the mouth of the lama. Thus it is said. Therefore, the meaning hidden in the root tantra in an expanded way should be known from the mouth of the lama, and the meaning of what is said is like that. Do not think that because it was too precious to write in the tantra, it was made into the oral transmission of the lamas. If you think that way, it will become an obstacle to generating supreme respect for the root and explanatory tantras, so you will not be able to obtain the meaning of the tantra in this life, and in future lives, you will follow its similar cause. Such a hiding is a hiding that is done in an invisible way, even though it is indicated in the tantra where it is hidden. In the tantra Vajra Garland, it is said: The very essence of mantra is very clear, that very essence is extremely secret, I have not said it anywhere, with the thoughts of the unworthy, it is hidden in all the tantras, that I will say, listen. Like the situation where Vajra recitation is not spoken and hidden anywhere in the lower tantra classes, it is a hiding that is not indicated in that tantra, and for such a hiding, you cannot find its oral instructions from it.

Because it is necessary to search elsewhere, it is necessary to understand the difference between the two kinds of concealment that are spoken of. If that is the case, in the Vajra Garland it says: Some people who do not know, wanting to reach the far shore of the four great oceans, do not ask what the path is, how will they go themselves? Just like that, making great efforts in vain, practitioners without oral instructions, because there is no result, even the wise, the practitioners become angry. In the moment of anger arising, there is no result, and they are called foolish. Therefore, with all effort, with faith, from the lineage of the lama, learn the oral instructions. Thus it is said, although skilled in the root and commentary tantras, the faults of being without the lama's oral instructions are spoken of. If one thinks that the root and commentary tantras are the ultimate of oral instruction, that is not reasonable. The wise person spoken of there is one who is skilled in other arts, but does not have the lama's oral instructions, not one who is skilled in the root and commentary tantras. Because if there are no oral instructions, being skilled in the two tantras is contradictory. If it is said that way, in the answer to Vajrapani's question of what those oral instructions are, because at that time the oral instructions were clearly stated in the tantra. The lama's oral instructions that explain by combining the root and commentary are necessary, and there is no contradiction whatsoever in the root and commentary tantras being the essence of oral instruction. Those tantric texts are for first understanding well the paths by which one should travel from the stage of the first practitioner to the stage of buddhahood. After that, entering the path without practicing the oral instructions, but blindly, is like wanting to go to the far shore of the ocean, but not asking those who are familiar with the path beforehand, but walking blindly. Therefore, know that before practicing the oral instructions, it is necessary to understand their meaning well. As said before, it is difficult to find in later times a lama who knows how to explain by combining the root and commentary. Seeing that the oral instructions obtained from such a lama combining the root and commentary tantras, written down in writing, will last for a long time. Therefore, the noble fathers and sons composed many texts of oral instructions of the two stages, such as the Five Stages and the Compendium of Conduct. Those are the ultimate essential points of the oral instructions that one must learn from the mouth of the lama, having found the meaning of the tantras. Those
