The bliss spoken of in the union of bliss and emptiness is the joy of co-emergence. Its initial arising comes from the burning of inner heat, which melts the white bodhicitta, due to the power of inserting the life-force energy into the central channel. That bliss and the previously mentioned bliss are similar only in terms of bliss, but their meanings are vastly different, so do not confuse them; they should be distinguished separately. In this vehicle, it is also called compassion without object. As it says in the "Ear of Whispered Instructions": "The means is great compassion without object, doing the work of beings, which is the nature of great co-emergent bliss." It is said in many such ways. The third has two parts: the actual meaning, and refuting the arguments against it. First: How, then, does the bliss of objectless compassion and emptiness combine inseparably? To this, glorious Saṃbhūṭa says: "The nature without elaboration, is widely known as wisdom. Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, accomplishing all, the meaning of sentient beings, is indeed compassion. In the place without object, wisdom, and, great compassion without object, wisdom, together with awareness becoming one, like space into space." This is said. Its meaning is also stated in the "Establishment of the Definitive of Means and Wisdom": "Having completely distinguished the knower from the known, if one thoroughly examines through union, all phenomena are without inherent existence, that is said to be wisdom. What is the use of the entire ocean of suffering, and the cause of suffering? Compassion clinging to sentient beings, is known as desire." Thus, having separated form and mind and ascertained their lack of inherent existence through examination, is wisdom, and from which means arises the great attachment that benefits beings, having explained co-emergent bliss as compassion, like mixing water and milk, through the union of non-dual forms, what is the union of the two? It is known as wisdom and means. Like mixing water and milk, it is said to combine in this way. Moreover, bliss and its dharmata, being inseparable in essence, are already established as inseparable in essence from their own emptiness as soon as the dharmata is established. Therefore, there is no need to make the yoga inseparable. Similarly, for another wisdom that realizes emptiness, with bliss to nourish and, to generate bliss,

Furthermore, it is not that one expands upon it with another view of emptiness, because, for example, although generosity and so forth are grasped by the view of selflessness, generosity and so forth themselves do not arise as the nature of that view. Similarly, the realization of emptiness and bliss do not become the nature of each other. So how should one do it? The knowing subject arising as the nature of coemergent bliss, by that, the object of realizing the meaning of emptiness without error, the object is joined to the subject, and that is joining bliss and emptiness as inseparable. Moreover, at the time of actual coemergence, the object and subject become of one taste, like milk mixed with water, and even the subtle appearance of duality is purified. Before actual coemergence has arisen, since reality is not directly realized, one must enter into it through faith and attention to reality, and it is merely faith in oneness. The way to unite with the emptiness of objects is like that, so the way to unite the wisdom that realizes emptiness and bliss as inseparable in nature is that the wisdom of the two arises as a single component of inseparable nature. There is nothing superior to the way of determining the ultimate point of understanding emptiness that comes from the Middle Way, so this vehicle and the Paramita vehicle do not have superior or inferior views on emptiness. Although the meaning of what is to be determined is the same, no other object has the same power to determine emptiness as the coemergent bliss for the mind that determines it. Although there is no difference in emptiness, it is said to be superior because of the ease of the method. If the ultimate point of the emptiness of selflessness is not determined, one will not be liberated from samsara. If the bliss of coemergence that determines it does not arise, there is no key to the supreme path of mantra, so it is said that one is not enough, both are necessary. Saraha said: "Emptiness separated from compassion, one does not find the supreme path with that. But if one meditates only on compassion, one will remain in samsara and will not attain liberation. Whoever is able to unite the two, will not remain in samsara, nor will he remain in nirvana." Thus, in the Dohas, coemergent wisdom itself is explained as the essence of the path, so the compassion here is also coemergent bliss. As explained earlier, when coemergent bliss arises,
