And in whatever way the benefit of sentient beings is perfected, the mantra practitioners engage as much as they can, this is the first. Like a jewel-like mantra practitioner, having realized the completion stage, not remaining in meditative equipoise, but with the practice of union, the practice of transforming one's own essence in this very life, this is said to be the second. Among these, the first is the general practice of a Bodhisattva, and the second, what is said regarding the completion stage is merely symbolic, and the jewel-like person is the main one, this is based on that intention. All the special practices of enjoying the supreme desirable qualities are like that. In the "Sixteenth Chapter," it says, "The practice of properly taking the conduct of vidyā," the meaning of which is explained in the "Lamp Illuminating": Transforming oneself and the vidyā into the likeness of the deity and then engaging in practice. In the commentary on the "Sixth Chapter," the best of the three practices is the practice of enjoyment and liberation, which appears in both the old translation and the translation of Pa Tsha. But in the Chag translation, it is translated as, "The best of these practices is the practice of Bhusuku," which is better, so it is not showing other practices. In the "Subsequent Tantra," two practices are mentioned: the all-encompassing practice and the practice of mantra. The first is the general name for the three practices, and the second is the guarding of vows and precepts, both worldly and beyond worldly, as explained in the "Seventeenth Chapter." Regarding the Bodhisattva's practice arising from desire, there are three distinctions: with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration, which is explained in the "Compendium of Practices," and the "Second Stage" and the "Lamp Illuminating" also mention three. The main object of desirable qualities to be practiced is the desirable qualities of the vidyā, and this is divided into two types: the actual vidyā and the wisdom mudrā vidyā of meditation. For the first, the first and second practices on practice are established, and for the second, the third practice on practice is established. Regarding this, the three practices of the completion stage mentioned in the "Compendium of Practices" and the "Second Stage" are only symbolic, so each of the two stages has three practices. In the "Lamp Illuminating" of the "Tenth Chapter," it says: When the yogi, through habituation to the three practices of being situated in the supreme achiever and the ordinary person, and with elaboration, etc., and incorporating them into experience, actually

If one does not attain accomplishment, then, at that time, one should supplicate one's own deity. Thus it is said. This refers to the practice of the two stages, which is done in order to accomplish the siddhis of each respective stage. Even if that does not succeed, it is said that one should supplicate the essence of each of the two stages. In the commentary on the seventh chapter, it is said that the practice of the general meaning is with elaboration, the practice of the hidden meaning is without elaboration, and the ultimate practice is extremely without elaboration. This refers to the meditative aspect of entering into practice. It is not that the practice of the general meaning does not allow other practices, because in the commentary on the fifteenth chapter, it speaks of the non-elaborate practice of the five Tathagatas of the generation stage. Even if it is extremely non-elaborate, although it is not placed in the generation stage from the perspective of meditation, it is possible to establish extreme non-elaboration in terms of actions and so on. In general, there are two types of practice that use attachment to desirable qualities as the path: the time of empowerment to make one a suitable vessel for meditating on the two stages, and the practice at the time of meditating on the path after becoming a suitable vessel. The latter is also divided into two: practice for generating the path that has not yet arisen, and practice for enhancing the path that has already arisen. The first of these begins from the initial meditation on the path and continues until one has not attained the state of no more learning. In short, as stated in the Compendium: "Having completely abandoned the five desires, and not tormented by asceticism, following the yoga tantra, one should accomplish enlightenment with ease." Because it is said that one should do so from the time of entering the generation stage. The second, Nagpo Damtsik Dorje, says that after the coarse and subtle generation stages are completed, there are two occasions for enhancing the accomplishment of common siddhis, and after the three solitudes and the two truths of the completion stage are accomplished, for enhancing the accomplishment of supreme siddhis. Therefore, it is said that practice is done at two times. The Consort One says that practice is done after obtaining the illusory body based on "the differentiation of the appearance of self-nature," and after obtaining the learning union, so there are two occasions for practicing the completion stage, and in general, it is considered to be three. One's own tradition considers there to be four occasions for practicing to enhance the two stages.
