Some explain that practicing asceticism of non-Buddhists is wrong. Some explain that having obtained empowerment and samaya, if one understands the truth of this path and abandons it to practice asceticism, one will commit the eighth root downfall. The path of Anuttarayoga bestows enlightenment in this life, relying on the union of bliss and emptiness, and that bliss arises from the increase of bodhicitta in one's own body, and that requires the firmness of one's own body with the sense faculties and their supports. For that purpose, the practice of the sense faculties enjoying the five desirable objects as they wish is taught. In the seventeenth chapter of the Pradipoddyotana, it also says: All existing samayas refer to women such as Padmavati. They are the samayas of the three vajras, and one should make them satisfied and happy with the actions of one's own body, speech, and mind. "Do not despise the vajra of the heart" means that one should not separate their hearts from desire, because the root of the body is the mind, and the root of bodhicitta is the body. The body of Padmavati and others is the basis for the increase of one's own bodhicitta, and the root of that body is their mind, so if one displeases their mind, it will harm the root cause of great bliss. Therefore, considering that it will hinder the increase of great bliss samadhi, it is said to protect their minds, and the precepts of the fourteenth root downfall are also established for this purpose. The same principle applies to making one's own body suffer, and one should also know that making it increase is the same. In the new and old translations of the Pradipoddyotana, it is good to say that the mind is the root of the body, and the body is the root of bodhicitta, but it is not good to translate it in reverse. Thus, although there are paths that are said to be practiced like the six perfections, here it refers to the practice of enjoying the five desirable objects with the knowledge of their own nature as the cause of great bliss. Therefore, if the three doors do not abide in bliss through the five desirable objects, one cannot obtain a single-pointed mind, and one cannot make the mind abide equally. Therefore, for that purpose, it is said that one must practice the practice of bliss, which is not only to achieve the stability of the samadhi of single-pointedness of mind, but to achieve the samadhi of innate great bliss.

It is so. Secondly, there are two points: first, quoting what is said in the Compendium of Conduct and explaining its meaning, and second, refuting the arguments of others on this. The first is: if it is said that Buddhahood is accomplished by indulging in the five desirable qualities as desired, then it is said: Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, These are the three poisons of the world. Thus, it is said that attachment to the five desirable qualities is a poison to be abandoned, and indulging in the five desirable qualities becomes the cause of the arising of afflictions, so how does it not contradict the scriptures that show the fault of considering it to be the cause of bad migrations? In response to this, it is said in the Compendium of Conduct: Afflictions become the cause of afflictions for those who regard the hearers and so on as objects, because they do not know the nature of afflictions. If that nature is known, it will become the cause of enlightenment. it is said. In the Glorious Supreme First (Shri Paramadya Tantra): Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, By grasping, it becomes poison. If this poison is nearly pacified, The poison is made non-poisonous. If nectar is gradually indulged in, It becomes nectar itself. it is said. In the Jewel Heap Sutra: Just as the city's manure is beneficial to the fields of trees and so on, so too the manure of the Bodhisattva's afflictions is beneficial to growth, and just as one cannot die from poison held by mantras and medicine, so too afflictions held by skillful means and wisdom cannot cause one to fall back, and also in the Tantra of Accomplishing the Meaning of Discipline: By what the fool is bound, By that the wise are completely liberated. If one meditates on the nature of enlightenment, All these are completely reversed. By what the deluded are bound, And at the end they become weeping, By that very thing they become liberated, And by the power of wisdom they obtain happiness. it is said. By this reasoning, the distinguished will be urged on, and by the complete transformation of the distinguished, it will become the cause of generating the desired fruit of the distinguished, and there is no other practice for obtaining the fruit of the great bliss that is unsurpassed, and for that purpose, by those very things, eating, dwelling, and so on, the all-knowing one endowed with the eight powers of qualities and so on is made manifest.
