It is said that in the treatises of Chandrakirti, the treatise of Sangye Yeshe Zhap, the disciple of the teacher Simhavadra, is cited, and it is also said to be the treatise of Nagarjuna cited by Chandrakirti. Since it is impossible to determine which of the two authors, Nagarjuna and his disciple Shakya Mitra, wrote it, it is merely borrowing the name of Nagarjuna. It is said that the 'Meaningful Explanation' was written by him, which is also merely borrowing the name. As for summarizing the stages, Tibetan scholars believe that it was written by Nagarjuna, and some believe that it was written by a Chag Lotsawa who shared the same name as Nagarjuna. It is said that just as in the 'Ornament of Clear Realization' each of the six perfections is summarized into six, this treatise also summarizes the six stages from the generation stage to union into six. When explaining these summaries, according to that statement, it seems that in the practice path of each stage at that time, five should be summarized, but this is not necessarily the case. For example, in the case of mind isolation (sems dben), the generation stage of generating deities from the moon and vajra is said to be the generation stage of mind isolation, etc. In many places, there is no distinction between what is said at that stage and what is included in the practice of that stage, so it was written by someone borrowing the name of Nagarjuna. However, this treatise and the 'Garland of Jewels' seem to have been written by an Indian. Regarding what was written by the teacher Shakya Mitra, the style of the two-stage treatise has been explained. It is said that the commentary on the 'Compendium of Practices' was written by Shakya Mitra, and if it is just the same name as that teacher, that is fine, but if it refers to the disciple of the Holy One, Shakya Mitra, then it is completely wrong. Regarding what was written by the teacher Chandrakirti, the 'Clear Lamp' is very famous. The six-limbed yoga written by him seems to have been extracted separately from the twelfth chapter of the 'Clear Lamp'. Regarding the practice method of Vajrasattva, commentaries were made by Tathāgatarakṣita and Līlāvajra. Pandita Thubpa Palsangpo of Magadha and others also consider it to be a treatise of Chandrakirti. Tibetan scholars say that the root verses and self-commentary of the 'Abhisamayalankara of the Guhyasamaja Tantra' are said to have been written by Chandrakirti, which is a place that needs to be examined.

If the authors of these two works only share the same name as that teacher, it would be acceptable. But to claim they are the author of 'Lamp Illuminating Wisdom,' it seems to be purely a case of impersonation. Regarding Aryadeva, Nagarjuna, Asanga, and Shakyamitra, these three are widely known as disciples of Aryadeva. Matamgi, on the other hand, is considered a disciple of Aryadeva by those of the Guhyasamaja Mar tradition. Chandrakirti is regarded as a disciple of Aryadeva by early lamas such as Je Gowo. Some Tibetan Madhyamikas, at the end of the 'Clear Words,' say that the treatises composed by Aryadeva and his disciples declined a long time ago, so nowadays there is no clear doctrine. Therefore, they say that Chandrakirti did not become a disciple of Aryadeva. That reason is uncertain because, according to the words of Vajrasana and the story of Patsab Lotsawa, Chandrakirti attained the state of vidyadhara and lived for a long time. Therefore, the decline of Nagarjuna's excellent teachings in his later years and his becoming a disciple of Nagarjuna are not contradictory. Therefore, Tibetan scholars, as stated by glorious Atisha, acknowledge that Chandrakirti is a disciple of Nagarjuna and a disciple of Aryadeva. In the 'Lamp Illuminating Wisdom,' it is also said: 'All Buddhas expanded through the two stages, that was obtained from Nagarjuna. Having prostrated to the all-pervading glorious Vajrasattva, Chandrakirti explained it in sequence.' The meanings of the collection are all said to be obtained from Nagarjuna. Kalsang Drakpa also said: 'That was obtained from glorious Nagarjuna.' Thus, he was personally indicated as a disciple from the presence of glorious Nagarjuna, not through lineage. Also, the Brahmin Rahula, Saraha explained to Nagarjuna, and then he explained to Chandrakirti, along with the praise of qualities, is also stated in the 'Lamp Extremely Clear': 'In the city of Kongkana, on the summit of the glorious mountain, in a place secluded from people, having first resided there, like the lord of humans and gods, he spoke the supreme Dharma. Before Rahula, may he be victorious on this earth. From that joy, the great yogi obtained it, having obtained the land, he strives for the benefit of others, may glorious Nagarjuna be victorious. From that'
