My self and the moonlight of the three emptinesses cannot become one meaning. In short, when the vajra recitation is completed, when the emptiness of mind-seclusion arises, when the conceptual thoughts and the wind that moves it dissolve, if one understands well the manner in which the sense consciousnesses also dissolve and go before it, then when practicing the illusory body, one will not have the doubt of whether one should meditate while looking with the eyes. Generally, in the post-attainment state, whatever appears appears as a false illusion. In the stages of the three seclusions and the illusory body, if great bliss is drawn and combined with the thorough understanding of emptiness and meditated upon, then one should strive diligently. In the post-attainment state, it is not important to prevent the clinging to reality with thoughts such as liking or disliking the image, whether it exists or not. This is also if one gains certainty through the awareness that destroys all the targets of clinging to reality in external and internal phenomena, then the way in which the appearance of objects spontaneously appears as an illusion depends on a good understanding of the reasoning of the Middle Way. It is said that by obtaining the illusory body through the five stages, whatever activity one engages in, one should view everything as an illusion. Although there is a view of illusion that is common with the Paramitas, the uncommon illusion, as mentioned earlier, is to view the inherent body of all sentient beings as merely wind and mind. When the practice of wind becomes very pure, for whatever appearance of a field or other object one wishes to manifest, one first sends forth its projection, and then controls the combination of winds. Although those appearances may appear as illusions, there has been no mention in the cycles of the Noble Ones of practicing in this way. When practicing illusion, there is also no mention of collecting the appearances of the second dhyana, and in reality, there is nothing to be obtained. Second, there are two parts to explaining the instructions related to this: explaining the source of the instructions, and explaining the actual content of the instructions on sleep and dreams, etc. The first part is: If one wonders which tantra and father-son treatises these instructions on sleep and dreams, and the instructions on death and the intermediate state, in this system rely on, then Je Gos said about this: To attain Buddhahood in the intermediate state, there are two explanations: mixing with death and mixing with the intermediate state. To attain Buddhahood through rebirth, he explained mixing with sleep, and

These mixtures do not appear in the oral instructions. Those mixtures are not explained for attaining Buddhahood in this life, and those are also explained by quoting the scriptures of the Compendium of Practices. These mixtures do not appear in the oral instructions of Naropa transmitted from Naktsa, but the instructions for all four of those appear extensively in the transmission from Marpa. For attaining Buddhahood in this life, there is mixing with sleep and dreams, for attaining Buddhahood in the bardo, there are those two and death, and mixing with the bardo, and for attaining Buddhahood through rebirth, all four of those are explained. This treatise does not seem to clearly combine what is taught, except for mentioning aspects of it. From the Condensed Five Stages, it says, "The dream body is for purification, from whatever time it is represented as illusion, whatever conventional appearances are seen, are the stages of conventional illusion." And, "Practice dream and illusion as one." Therefore, there are instructions for dreams, and, "The three bardos should be mixed." And, as previously quoted, practice the five stages by combining them with a day and night, and the order of existence, birth, and death. Therefore, there are instructions for mixing with sleep, and mixing with death and the bardo, which are shown only briefly. In the treatise of Gonpo Klu, the illusory body in the five stages is explained as the bardo. Those two, apart from being able to be said to be mixed, the words of the mixtures are not clear. Kluwang says, apart from combining the completion stage like the death stage, there is no combining with the bardo, and combining with sleep and dreams, and in the generation stage, he speaks by combining with the three, birth, death, and bardo. Chandrakirti says, he explains the mixing of death and the bardo for attaining Buddhahood in the bardo, and in the fifteenth chapter, when explaining all phenomena as like dreams, apart from quoting the scripture of the Compendium of Practices as the cause of knowing that phenomena in dreams and waking are equal in being without truth, he does not actually explain mixing with sleep and dreams. Therefore, for this system, it is not meaningful to think that the fifteenth chapter, which explains things as like dreams, shows the instructions for holding onto dreams, etc. Therefore, the explanation of mixing sleep and the four emptinesses is not found in any other treatise of father and son apart from the Compendium of Practices. From the Compendium of Practices, it says, "From then on, becoming accustomed from one life to the next, by training in the dharma of selflessness, having understood the completely mixed union, the appearance of nature,
