Through the Vajra recitation of the wheel, after purifying the winds, the way of generating the illusory body is shown. Among them, the shapes of the mantra syllables arranged on the petals of the wheel are the minds of the eighty ordinary conceptualizations, and the symbols of the winds that move them. The symbolic letter bodies, the shapes, are gradually gathered and practiced, then all conceptualizations and winds cease. When the winds that move the conceptualizations are purified, the wisdom body, the conventional illusory body, is manifested. Also, in that very text, it says, "The wind arises from mind alone, the illusory body is endowed with appearance." Therefore, it is also consistent with the statement that the illusory body is accomplished from the pure wind and mind, after the eighty conceptualizations and winds are purified. That method is in accordance with the root explanatory tantra and the treatises of the father and sons (Naropa and Tilopa). Furthermore, the illusory body is symbolized by the twelve examples of illusion. After explaining some similarities between the examples and the meanings, it is said that if those are recognized, then the illusory body is recognized. Thus, determining the similarities between the examples and the meanings as the method for establishing the illusory body seems good, but if the practice of the generation stage is not clear, then the instructions that are explained as aids to make it clear, in the case of the illusory body, in the five stages, the meaning of what is said such as "Vajrasattva is well drawn," is understood as focusing on meditation on the image appearing in the mirror, then taking it out of the mind and placing it in the middle, and finally making the deity body of self-generation, which is absorbed into oneself, as the illusory body. This contradicts the statement that the illusory body is generated from one's previous experience of bliss and emptiness of wisdom of emptiness, without being interrupted by others, and it is also inconsistent with all qualified treatises, and it also seems to contradict one's own root words. In the case of Lama Marpa, even for the instructions of each tantra, there are many different instructions from many different Lamas, so there is no certainty that all are instructions of Naropa. Then, in the five stages, "Liberated from the real and unreal, Vajrasattva is well drawn, like a clear image appearing in a spotless mirror, endowed with all kinds of excellence, the body is never tired of seeing, shown to the good disciple, it is said to be self-blessing," what is the meaning of what is said?

is the body of Vajradhara, free from the two extremes, appearing like a thangka painted in a clear mirror. Like the clearly appearing form, it possesses the supreme of all auspicious signs and is never tiring to behold. The combination of the image in the mirror and the illusory body as metaphor and meaning is to show the disciple, and I bless this. This is the meaning of what is said. It is not to meditate on the image appearing in the mirror, and then extract it through thought and integrate it into oneself, thereby manifesting the deity's body as an illusory body. If that were the case, other metaphors would also need to be treated similarly. Among the twelve metaphors, the image mentioned in the three metaphors in the five stages is the image of the body of Vajradhara, not ordinary images, but a metaphor for the simultaneous completion of all parts of the body. The metaphor of the rainbow is unobstructed and the colors are not mixed. The metaphor of the moon in water is that a single illusory body can manifest various emanations in accordance with the different beings to be tamed. From "I bless," "They meditate on the body with this," these three metaphors speak of meditating on the illusory body, which refers to determining and meditating through these metaphors. If, like the two ways of practicing the illusory body by meditating on the image in the mirror as an object, then practicing it does not require the completion of the generation stage and the three isolations. If in the Vimalaprabha and others, relying on the appearance of the experience of the retraction stage as "I bless" and saying it is an illusory body, then all eight from mirage to appearing as black as Rahu should be considered illusory bodies. It is not reasonable to only explain the deity's body that appears at the end of the reverse order as an illusory body. In the Kalachakra, the signs of mirage etc. are said in the retraction stage, which is that the winds of the senses are about to reverse towards ordinary objects, and are signs of inward reversal. The four mirages etc. that appear during the mind isolation etc. are signs that appear after the four emptinesses, and for this, it has been said many times that the winds need to enter and dissolve into the central channel. Therefore, during the retraction stage, the images of the sun, moon, and Rahu appear.
