It is said that if one fully understands the key points and practices accordingly, one can achieve accomplishment even without the aid of other winds. Here, if one does not fully understand the key points of Vajra recitation and thinks that without the union of winds, one cannot make the winds dissolve into the dhūtī, etc., and if one clings to the union of winds, it seems that one has not understood the key points of this instruction, so it is said in this way. In general, it is not the case that a practitioner of Vajra recitation will incur faults if they engage in the union of winds. Here, if one engages in the union of winds, one must perform the vase breathing in the heart center, as stated in the *Vinaya Origin*. For those who initially practice wind yoga, the vase breathing in the heart center is said to be a great obstacle, but this is the talk of those who are not skilled in that yoga; if one is skilled, it is not a great obstacle. Having explained the order of gathering the winds with wheels, one should also understand the order of gathering the three without wheels. Regarding the writing of letters, although it is not certain that the three wisdoms will arise, in the order of the descent of bodhicitta from the crown to the jewel, without leaving emptiness to arise, in the order of the order of gathering in the heart center, emptiness arises, as stated in the Marpa tradition's instructions: "Consciousness and life are the basis of accumulation; meditate on the wheel of mantra in the heart center." This is the key point of the root verse, and it seems to be the unsurpassed key point of the father and son's instructions. Earth, water, fire, wind, and consciousness, the former dissolving into the latter, from the mirage to the appearance of the four signs of burning like a lamp, is stated in the *Lamp Illuminating*. When the wind dissolves, appearance arises, as previously stated. Therefore, it is not correct to say that many signs and so on appear at the time of the three appearances. From the summary of the five stages, it says: "First, the experience is like a mirage, appearing with five rays of light. Second, it is like the appearance of the moon. Third, it is intertwined with the light of the sun. It is obtained from the boundary appearance." It should be desired to be explained as in the *Compendium of Conduct*. Not explaining the three signs other than the mirage is a brief statement. If explained in detail, it is like the *Later Tantra*, and when it occurs, it should be understood as in the *Lamp Illuminating*. In short, the various previous schools, even in this state of mind isolation, do not newly add objects of focus such as meditating on letters, but first engage in body isolation, then speech isolation.

Without examining how much emptiness can be generally drawn out by Vajra recitation, it is not good to newly add the object of focus for guiding the mind away, because it seems to abandon the main part of the body's key points in guiding the mind away, and instead explain subtle methods. The methods for generating bliss through the object of focus that appear in the oral instructions transmitted from Naktsang, and the five categories explained therein, although they seem to have been done with the need to see the rapid generation of bliss, do not seem to see the meaning of the scriptures. The second has two parts: how wisdom arises from internal and external causes, and the explanation of how to combine bliss and emptiness, etc. The first is: In the Five Stages, it says, "The yogi who dwells in Vajra recitation will attain focus on the mind." Although it is said that Vajra recitation draws out the emptiness of mind isolation, it is not clear how it draws it out. It is also said in the Condensed Practice, "By dwelling in speech isolation, one attains mind isolation, and without speech isolation, mind isolation does not arise." Although it is said, it is not clear how mind isolation arises from it at that time. However, if one can understand the three things, such as where to enter, etc., that are said in the extensive explanation of speech isolation, and that in the end, the winds enter the indestructible and the clear light appears, then one can understand that Vajra recitation gathers the winds into the indestructible, and from the dissolution, the emptinesses appear. This has already been said. It is also said in the Vajra Garland, "By the excellent application of Vajra recitation, having known the nature of the winds, one cuts off the winds of discrimination, and attains focus on the mind." It is clearly stated many times that Vajra recitation generates the emptinesses of mind isolation by blocking the movement of the winds. The way in which Vajra recitation generally draws out the emptinesses has already been said, and in particular, the boundary for drawing out the emptiness of mind isolation is when the knot of the heart channel is completely loosened, and one is able to gather the winds into the indestructible place of the heart. It is not before that. So, from that boundary, is another object of focus for the stages of gathering necessary or not? Previously, in the third chapter, it was quoted from the Lamp Illuminating, "One should constantly meditate day and night with the yoga of entering, abiding, rising, and gathering." The three of rising, entering, and abiding that are said
