After doing it, reciting is like eating leftovers. When wind and mantra are done separately, the mantra is recited with sound, not thinking about the appearance of the letters in the mind. Therefore, when wind and mantra are not done separately, they should also be inseparable from the sound of the mantra, not inseparable from the appearance of the letters. The sound is also, what is spoken is the external language, but the Guhyasamaja Tantra says that this is the internal language, so it is not that. Even if it is not spoken, thinking about the appearance of speaking it in the mind is not the sound either. Therefore, the three self-sounds of wind entering, dwelling, and exiting should be taken as three letters here. The wind's self-sound and the mantra's sound are inseparably combined, which is the meaning of inseparably combining wind and mantra. The wind makes a sound similar to the sound of the three letters, and after recognizing it oneself, focusing without distraction is the recitation here. On this, the Lamp Clarification says that it is the mental recitation, which is completely different from the mental recitation that involves thinking about the appearance of reciting the mantra by using the tongue and palate, so it should be carefully distinguished. The meaning of the inseparably combining wind and mantra that is spoken is that it needs to appear as one in the mind, and if it is not done as before, it will not appear as one in the mind. The instruction says that when the wind dwells inside, it should be slightly longer. On this, some wise people say that the view of the commentary on the tantra is that the wind should be allowed to dwell as it is, without artificiality, which is unreasonable. Because in one day, the exhalation and inhalation of wind add up to only 21,600 times, if it dwells without artificiality, then there is no dwelling other than exhalation and inhalation, so the yoga recitation of exhalation, inhalation, and dwelling becomes impossible. Therefore, if it is done as the recitation of two letters that is spoken, it is okay to do it without artificiality, but for the three letters, it is necessary to specifically make a dwelling in the middle, as it says in the instructions of both Marpa and Ngok. The oral instruction says that when the nature of Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, literal meaning: Ah) dwells, it should be held slowly four times. Although many people think that exhalation and inhalation should be longer than dwelling inside, it is best to follow the view of Je Gok, which is that all three are equal. The wind exhales out.

At the time of..., all dharmas are purified and transformed into nectar, appearing as the nature of A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: A), washing away the habitual tendencies of one's own continuum. It is said in the oral instructions that the nature of Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Literal meaning: Ā) can also purify one's own continuum. In the "Drop of Liberation," it is said: "Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) at the time of expanding the Buddhas, etc., accomplishes all stable dharmas. A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: A) at the time of gathering the Buddhas, etc., accomplishes all moving dharmas. Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Literal meaning: Ā) at the time of holding the Buddhas, etc., causes all stable and moving dharmas to enter into non-dual wisdom." It is said that accomplishment is explained as purification. It is not explained to be done in this way in the "Collection of Sacred Practices." Some think that it is taught in the "Five Stages" by "The letter Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) truly expands sentient beings," etc., but that is not the meaning. In the "Five Meanings," practice the vajra recitation of the three letters twenty-one times each. Furthermore, if the number is large, the body is comfortable, it is easy to control the wind, and the actual vajra recitation is: the upper wind is pressed down by A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: A), and the lower wind is drawn up by Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ), and one meditates on the winds joining at the heart. In the "Four Meanings," it is said that by practicing the vajra recitation of the three letters, the wind does not move, but enters into the middle of the dhūtī, and from this arises the experience of bliss and emptiness, and the vajra recitation should be practiced until it is perfected. In the "Wheel Possessor," it is also said that by repeatedly practicing the vajra recitation one hundred and eight times, etc., five signs will appear. Thus, it seems that there is an initial inconsistency, that is, only practicing the vajra recitation of the three letters twenty-one times, etc., a small amount. This seems to be a great error that contradicts the root explanation tantra and all the texts of the father and son lineage. Explaining the holding of the joined winds as vajra recitation seems to be purely fabricated, and it also contradicts many of the self-lineage's teachings on the wind practices of empty mind. Therefore, it is necessary to practice according to the "Four Meanings," and the "Wheel Possessor" should also be in accordance with it. In short, in the text of the "Inquiry of the Four Goddesses," it is said that in the context of food, one should join, but apart from some explanations that explain this as joining the winds, it is not said in any Indian text of the "Collection of Sacred Practices." If one must practice through oral instructions, then practicing as it is said in the context of empty mind in other oral instructions of the self-lineage is in accordance with one's own lineage. If the vajra recitation is distinguished from the perspective of the object of recitation—the wind—then there are root and branch vajra.
