Sa! The samadhi of the order of directions, the nature of combining three aspects. In the center is the indestructible bindu, which together with the letter A becomes life. It gathers and releases the essence of all. Thus, the outer eight petals of the lotus are marked with the twelve vowel letters of the nature of wisdom, the middle eight petals are marked with the consonant letters of the nature of means, and the inner layer is marked with the four neuter letters of the nature of non-duality of means and wisdom. In the center, meditate on the indestructible bindu together with the short A. Here, in the five-meaning one, the wheel-possessing one, and the complete seat, it is said to meditate on the mantra wheel before the Vajra recitation. The four-meaning one is explained at the time of mental solitude, but the root text says: After meditating on the mantra wheel first, perform the Vajra recitation. Therefore, act according to the first three. The color of the lotus petals is red, and the shape is like a mirror standing upright. The letters are white, as explained by the Golden Seat. In other instructions of the Mar tradition, it is said that the letters are white, residing in the form of the root lotus, white with a reddish glow. The lotus at the place where the bindu, the support of the Vajra recitation, is placed in the heart, is white with four petals and red with four petals, and is contemplated as the nature of the four elements, as said by Kukkuripa, contemplating it as the nature of the four channels in the direction of the heart. In other texts, it is also said that at the time of the completion stage, the lotuses such as the navel where the bindu and letters are placed are explained as channel petals, so act accordingly, or you can also believe that the lotus petals are the nature of the channels. There is no fixed color for the heart lotus, and there are many who explain the eight-petaled channel wheel there, and there are also those who explain two, and those who explain three do not often appear elsewhere. Even if you meditate like the petals of a flower lotus, there is no need to act like erecting a mirror. The Golden Seat places Kali on the outer lotus petals and vowel letters on the middle, which is inconsistent with the root text. Therefore, other places in the Mar tradition should be arranged as they appear in the root text. The root text says: Vowel letters appear, consonant letters proliferate, and the neuter is nearly attained. Thus, it is better if the outer letters are white, the middle red, and the inner blue or black. The root text says: The twelve letters are with the bindu, meaning

舍弃下部四个元音字母后,剩余的十一个元音字母带有 bindu(藏文:ཐིག་ལེ།,梵文天城体:बिन्दु,梵文罗马拟音:bindu,汉语字面意思:点)。

After omitting the four vowel letters at the bottom, the remaining eleven vowel letters have a bindu. Therefore, it means placing the bindu above the remaining eleven letters. It is not intended to place the bindu in front of these letters, nor to write these letters without a bindu. The way to write them is: starting from the east, write two each in the four directions in order; or starting from the southeast, write one each in the four corners; or write them neatly starting from the east, as stated in the Golden Steps. It is the same for Kali. Regarding the way to write Kali, the root text says: "From the letter Ka to Ha, excluding Ksha and adding four." The meaning of this is: starting from the east, write the five groups of Ka, Tsa, Ta, Ta, and Pa on the five petals, with five letters in each group; then write the four letters each of the Ya and Sha groups on the three petals; and write the four letters Kla, Bla, Sla, and Sha on the last petal. These four letters are also called hidden, or the four letters of the lingual root, which is not understanding their meaning. The meaning of that treatise is: each of the eight petals should contain four letters each from Ka to Ha, excluding Ksha. Like this, the Ka, Tsa, Ta, Ta, and Pa groups have five groups of four letters, the Nga, Nya, Na, and Na groups have four, and the Ya and Sha groups have two groups of four letters, for a total of eight. The mother letter goes to the bindu of the vowels. Write the four letters Ra, Ra, La, and La in the four directions of the inner lotus petals, and leave the four corners empty. If these are written on the root petals, then instead of single letters, arrange them from the outside to the inside in order in the root, so that they appear upright. If writing on the lotus petals themselves, they should be arranged in a row. Writing the indestructible A and other letters in the center is as already stated. The root text says: "In the center of the sphere of space, one should contemplate the clear mandala." This refers to the meaning that occurs in the case of the mantra wheel. Some people think that from the state of emptiness, wisdom fully manifests as the state of nada, and then contemplate the moon mandala in the heart, which is not correct. Because the exact meaning of what is said in the root tantra is stated in the Lamp Illuminating: "The sphere of space is clear light, and the moon mandala in its center is the indestructible." The same principle should be applied here as well, because it shows the indestructible as the basis of Vajra recitation. Contemplating the mantra wheel in this way is the oral instruction of Naropa.
