Now is the time for dissolution into clarity. Then, everything arises from emptiness luminosity or death luminosity, great emptiness nearly attained, such as the mind of a Gandharva, etc., just as before. Therefore, in the ground phase, the channels, winds, and elements first form, forming from the heart center. The final absorption is also similar to absorption into the heart center. In the path, during the generation stage, one cultivates by gathering and increasing joy into the bindu (Tibetan: རིང་ངེ་འཛིན་སེམས་དཔའ་) in the heart center. In the completion stage, without waiting for the stages of dissolution at the time of death, before that, through the power of samadhi, the elements are gradually absorbed, and luminosity free from dualistic appearance arises. Therefore, in many sections of the Unsurpassed, it is said that during the generation stage, one must practice by combining the three bardos of birth, death, and intermediate state with the four times. This is with the intention of a method of extracting essence that is different from others in the completion stage. Also, the reason for much speaking about channels and winds is that at the time of death, the red element from the navel goes upward, and the white element from the crown of the head comes downward, and relying on this union, luminosity free from dualistic appearance manifests. Moreover, it is just the cessation of dualistic appearance that is labeled as luminosity, but it is not the characteristic of luminosity itself. Similarly, during the path, relying on wind and tummo yoga, there is a union of red and white elements. When the union is purified, the coarse dualistic appearance ceases. At that time, if one clearly establishes the ascertainment of emptiness, one will quickly realize emptiness that is different from others, so it is said with that in mind. The twenty-four channels and the seventy-two channels, and the seventy-two thousand channels, are divided into body, speech, and mind, or rather, the three of body, speech, and mind, etc., are definitely divided into three because these channels are the substances flowing from within speech, and are definitely the two, white and red bodhicitta, and the three winds, so that is the key. In the ground phase, the order of the formation of channels and winds corresponds to the order of the birth of sentient beings, so during the generation stage, one cultivates the deity's form, and during the completion stage, through the power of samadhi, one absorbs the elements, and after remaining in equipoise in the luminosity where dualistic appearance has ceased, arising from that, one arises as the deity's form accomplished solely from the rainbow body, and that is the proximate cause of the two form bodies of the fruition.

as the cause. Therefore, only meditate on the deity's form during the generation stage. If you meditate on the deity's wisdom during the completion stage, then from the completion stage onwards, there will be the fault of lacking the common enhancing cause for the two form bodies. Therefore, it is necessary to meditate on the deity even at that time. The way winds are formed is that when intercourse occurs in the womb and the heart's knot of veins is formed, the life-sustaining wind that moves through the nostrils arises from the coemergent wind within it. Both of these winds are also life-sustaining winds. At that time, the body of the sentient being is said to be like the shape of a fish, as stated in the Vajramala Tantra. This is also the manner of birth in the first month after entering the womb. In the second month, the downward-clearing wind arises from the life-sustaining wind, and the root location of the life-sustaining wind is the heart, while the root location of the downward-clearing wind is the secret place. At that time, there are four limbs: two legs and two arms. With the head, there are five protrusions, so the body is like the shape of a turtle. In the third month, the equally abiding wind arises from the downward-clearing wind, and its root location is the navel. At that time, the five limbs are complete, but slightly curved, so it is like the shape of a wild boar. In the fourth month, the upward-moving wind arises from the equally abiding wind, and its root location is the throat. At that time, the upper body expands slightly, so it remains in the shape of a lion. In the fifth month, the pervasive wind arises from the upward-moving wind, and its root location is the twelve major joints. At that time, it is in the shape of a small human. In the sixth month, the wind that moves through the gate of the eyes is called Naga, and the earth element arises. In the seventh month, the wind that moves through the gate of the ears is Turtle, and the water element arises. In the eighth month, the wind that moves through the nostrils is Cicada, and the fire element arises. In the ninth month, the wind that moves on the tongue is Devasdatta, and the wind element arises. In the tenth month, the wind that arises in the body is Bow-Victorious, and the space element arises, that is, the empty spaces of the body. The main one of the five branch winds is the life-sustaining wind, and the other four winds may also move through the gates of the senses. The life-sustaining wind sustains life, and the nose
