The power of the wind moving within the central channel, like a small butter lamp burning in a glass bowl, emits a thin line of fire rays from the bindu, with a reddish-yellow color. The touch is very hot, and one can freely visualize its height as two or four fingers. Focus on visualizing oneself as possessing such a special fire. Concentrate on the previous bindu with the fire. When it becomes slightly stable, visualize the small fire of the navel rising to the crown of the head. Visualize the fire melting the bodhicitta at the crown of the head, and then descending sequentially into the center of each chakra within the central channel. Visualize it dissolving into the original bindu in the center of the navel chakra. Again, concentrate on the original bindu. When it becomes slightly stable, visualize the rising fire becoming slightly enlarged. Also, in this case, just as one butter lamp illuminates the entire room, when the navel fire reaches the center of each chakra, visualize its light illuminating the inside of the petal channels. If possible, repeatedly meditate on all seventy-two thousand channels being illuminated by the light of the fire. By meditating in this way, one will be able to predict various hidden things based on experiences and appearances. However, it is said that this is not clairvoyance. After these visualizations have become stable, one should meditate as follows: The fire that one visualizes rises up to the crown of the head. Then it descends from the crown of the head to between the eyebrows, and exits from the right nostril of the exhalation path. Visualize it touching all the bodhisattvas, pratyekabuddhas, shravakas, and sentient beings of the ten directions, causing them all to become Buddhas. Then, visualize the fire entering from the left nostril of them and the Buddhas who have already attained Buddhahood, reaching from between the eyebrows to the crown of the head. Then, it descends to the throat, heart, and navel, extracting the white bindu of the navel, and rising upwards to the crown of the head. Then, it descends to between the eyebrows, exiting from the right nostril. It enters from the path of one's own entry, the left nostril. It goes from between the eyebrows to the crown of the head. Then, it descends to the navel, replenishing the place previously burned by the fire. Repeatedly visualize it dissolving into the previous bindu of the knot of the channel.

Having done that, again, focus the mind on the previous bindu together with fire. In short, it is best if the signs of having grasped the above-mentioned object of focus appear. Even if they don't appear, if the previous object of focus is slightly stable, then engage in the subsequent object of focus. When these objects of focus are combined, continue the practice until the individual signs are complete, meditating at the end of each of the four sessions of the generation stage every day. By meditating in this way, the fire of the navel blazes, and when the melting of the bodhicitta at the crown of the head becomes very habitual, that very melting of the bodhicitta at the crown of the head becomes the cause for the blazing of the fire of the navel. From then on, without needing to rely on fire focus etc., the cycle of blazing and dripping occurs. Since the bodhicitta at the crown of the head is the water element, one might wonder if it is not appropriate for the fire of the navel and the water element to help each other grow. Although it is said to be the fire of the navel, its essence is blood, so the red aspect of the navel mainly generates heat, and the white aspect of the crown of the head mainly generates bliss, and there is no contradiction in the water elements helping each other. Then, it is said that when the bodhicitta of the crown of the head reaches the navel, it becomes cool. If the meaning of cool is taken to mean that the temperature has decreased, then an important meaning is missed, and it should not be understood that way. The meaning of cool is that the bodhicitta of the crown of the head pacifies the fire of the navel. In short, the result of meditating on these objects of focus is the identification of the four joys. There are two ways to do this: one is to identify the four joys in accordance with the gradual cessation of the eighty innate conceptual thoughts, which is the method of identifying the four joys for rapid realization in the completion stage, so it will not be explained here for the time being. Therefore, here, the four joys are identified from the perspective of location. That is, through vase breathing, vajra recitation, bindu yoga, or any of the fire focus practices, by the power of the practice, the circulation of air in the nostrils is reversed, and when the inside of the body feels full, the inner air disappears and ceases like breathing on a mirror, and by the power of this, the air of the three junctions ignites the fire of the navel. Although only a rough general statement is made, in detail, it is by the power of the cessation of that air that the atrophied central channel inside the vajra opens up, forming a hollow tube, and the clear downward-clearing air that arises from within it goes to the three junctions, igniting the fire represented by the syllable (藏文:ཀྵ,梵文天城体:क्ष,梵文罗马拟音:kṣa,汉语字面意思: ક્ષ), at which time the air mixes with the fire.
