These have all been arranged. If it is not possible to arrange these groups in detail, then arrange the eight: A, Ka, Tsa, Ta, and Ta, Pa, Ya, Sha, in order according to the four directions and four intermediate directions. In the four directions and four intermediate directions of the heart chakra petals, arrange A, I, U, E, and Ya, Ra, La, Wa, the eight short vowels, in order. The sixteen petals of the throat chakra and the eight letters of the heart chakra are all long vowels. Starting from the east, arrange them in order according to the four directions and four intermediate directions. First, arrange them on the eastern petal. Arrange the remaining ones, leaving a space between each petal. On the thirty-two petals of the crown chakra, arrange the sixteen vowel letters. First, arrange the short A in the east, and then arrange the remaining petals, leaving a space between each petal, as before. The color of the letters on the petals' veins is the same as the color of their respective central letters. All the letters have a half-moon, a dot, and a Na (Tibetan: ན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ण, Sanskrit Romanization: ṇa, Literal meaning: Na), and one must meditate on them as if they were dripping nectar like a cow. The necessity of meditating on the letters of the knots of the channels is to untie the knots of the channels, and the necessity of meditating on the letters of the petals is to gather the winds and mind of the petals into the central channel. When arranging the consonant letters, do not arrange Ksha. When combining the purity of the fifty garlands, combine the thirty-four consonants, including Ksha, with the sixteen vowels. It is said that the vowels in the channels face upwards and the consonants face downwards, but this refers to the letters in the three individual channels of the left, middle, and right, not the letters on the petals. The way to arrange the letters on the petals is, taking the eastern petal as an example, they are arranged in order from the outer side of the eastern petal. At the outermost is A (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal meaning: A), and in front of it is the long vowel Ā (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal meaning: A). According to the Commentary on the Meaning, the other vowel letters are also arranged in this way. The letters of the other groups, such as the Ka group, on the other petals are also arranged in order from the outside to the inside. These letters must be arranged in a standing posture, facing the central letter. Since the moon seat is not mentioned for the letters of the petals, it is not necessary. The letters are a mixture of vowels and consonants, regardless of size, and the vowels all have a half-moon and a dot.

The nādas are the manifesters. That is, with regard to the letters of the navel chakra, the central A (Tibetan: ཨ) has more vowel component and less consonant component. Except for the eastern petal letters, the letters of the other directions do not have vowel letters. Therefore, the petals have less vowel component and more consonant component. The Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) in the center of the heart chakra's knot has more consonant component. The Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡) in the center of the throat chakra's petals has more vowel component. The petal letters of those two have equal vowel and consonant components. The letter Haṃ (Tibetan: ཧཾ) in the center of the crown chakra's knot has more consonant component. Its petal letters have more vowel component. That is, vowels represent white bodhicitta, and consonants represent red bodhicitta. It is good to hold the mind on the petal letters from the clear petals. Even if you cannot hold it, it is best to hold the four letters in the center of the four chakras, about the size of a medium mustard seed, and gain some sense of location. Practice repeatedly to obtain it, and it is said that when the letters appear clearly, shift the focus. If you obtain it, you must shift the focus to the bindu. Meditating on subtle letters is for the purpose of obtaining the support for the bindu's focus. When the mind is held on the bindu, this is what should be done: Clarify the previously focused objects in order, and on that basis, from the fire channel, the karma wind moves, igniting fire from the Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡) of the navel chakra, rising upwards through the central channel to the crown chakra. The light of the fire melts the letters of the crown chakra's petals, gathering in the center of the chakra, and the Haṃ (Tibetan: ཧཾ) melts into a bindu, that bindu gradually descends to the throat. The light of that fire melts the letters of the throat, dissolving into that bindu, and again descends from the throat to reach the heart. That light melts the letters of the heart, dissolving into that bindu. Again, descending from the heart to reach the navel chakra, imagine that light melting the letters of the navel chakra, dissolving into that bindu. When holding the focus, first generate the conviction that that bindu is a combination of mind, bindu, and wind. And thinking that it is the nature of inseparable bliss and emptiness, in the navel chakra's knot, a white and reddish-colored bindu arises, like a mustard seed.
