The vowels rely on the left and right sides. Above the hook of the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,literal meaning: Hūṃ) syllable, there are also two blue Yuṃ syllables facing downwards, relying on the left and right sides of the hook of the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,literal meaning: Hūṃ) syllable. Above that, visualize the blue Hi syllable facing downwards, with the ends of the two Yuṃ syllables relying on the left and right sides. Make your own awareness inseparable from the central Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,literal meaning: Hūṃ) syllable, and visualize it clearly and brightly, like lighting a lamp in the central channel of the passage of the Brahma aperture. Inside the Brahma aperture, visualize the white Haṃ syllable facing downwards, blocking it. Then, as the breath goes out, all the letters in the heart face upwards, and at the same time, the previous sequence of stacked letters changes, with the Ka syllable that was previously at the bottom going first. After that are the two Yuṃ syllables below. After that is the central Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,literal meaning: Hūṃ). After that are the two Yuṃ syllables above. After that, the two Hi syllables above go in such a way, propelled by the breath. Meditate that when it touches the Haṃ syllable of the Brahma aperture, it turns to ashes. When the breath comes in, the letters reverse their order and arrange themselves in the same sequence as they were previously in the heart. The breath-awareness passes downwards and comes to the center of the heart chakra. Like this, in accordance with the coming and going of the breath, going up and down without interruption, meditate as much as you can. If you experience tingling or trembling in the crown of your head, it means you are progressing well. In order to not diminish the power and to gain stability, you must continue to meditate regularly from then on. If you cannot meditate on all the above letters completely, then meditate on the single Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,literal meaning: Hūṃ) syllable in the center of the heart. Mix it with awareness and practice as before. Applying it to activities: When the time comes, abandon attachment to body and possessions. Clearly visualize the Haṃ syllable at the crown of your head. Visualize the form of Vajradhara at the crown of your head. Pray intensely. Mix your own awareness with the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,literal meaning: Hūṃ) syllable. Recite Hik twenty-one times, and at the same time, the awareness mixed with the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,literal meaning: Hūṃ) syllable goes upwards from the central channel. Coming out from the place that is like the opening of the Brahma aperture, it turns to ashes and dissolves into the heart of the Guru. Meditate that it merges into the state of Dharmakaya, without any separation. By doing this, you will go to places like Khechara, and you will not be harmed by demons. Those with supreme intelligence can go to the respective places of the six realms.

Having placed letters at the nine orifices, the yoga of restraint makes the winds flowing from those orifices stiff, and in the navel, one strives to make the wind enter the central channel with the vase-like yoga. After that, when one begins to make the coemergent wisdom that has entered the central channel with the vase-like wind in the navel rise from it, the fire of fierce heat in the center of the central channel becomes extremely subtle and sharp, rising upwards, touching the letters in the central channel of the heart, and the letters, as previously stated, along with the head turning upwards, the heart's pulse petals, which exist in a state like an inverted umbrella, also turn upwards. Like an umbrella facing upwards, the door is opened, and the letters descend, and as soon as they reach the heart, one meditates that the pulse also opens up like an enemy facing each other. The method of placing letters in the nine orifices is as done in the Great Instruction Manual, "Opening the Golden Door." In the small letter given to Dharma Lord Shakya Yeshe, only one letter yuṃ (藏文:ཡུཾ་,梵文天城体:युं,梵文罗马拟音:yuṃ,汉语字面意思:勇) each above and below is mentioned. Some letters have their heads facing upwards and are white in color, but in the Great Instruction Manual, it is done as before. In both the lineage from Omniscient Khedrup Thamche Khyenpa and the lineage from Jodan Sonam Lhundrup, there are seven letters each, and the method of placement is done as before. The oral instruction that the lama must indicate where the letters are unclear is the way the pulse-wheel reverses and the letters reverse. The way the pulse-wheel reverses is that, like turning an umbrella inside out, it is turned upside down, and when one visualizes as before without changing the object, one visualizes that the force of the wind coming from below strikes the center of the pulse-wheel, like the hem of a banner being lifted upwards. At the time of death, when the wind gathers in the heart, the way the pulse petals face upwards will also appear in that way. The way the letters reverse is that one meditates that they go like a stick turned upside down. Some people meditate that they are gradually rolled up from below like rolling up the face cover of a thangka, and then turned upside down. These are judging with speculation without understanding the meaning, and are not permissible. Therefore, it is not that the wind strikes the outside of those letters and they go like a hat being carried away by the wind, but the wind that rises upwards from within the central channel
