Also knows. Other scriptures also say that name and form arise from the cause of consciousness, and name and form are like arrow sheaths, mutually dependent on each other. The Vajramala Tantra also says: "The solid realm and the nature of water, likewise fire and wind, having been taken by consciousness, are born in the three realms." It is said that the meaning of taking by consciousness is to take it as its support. Thus, from the attainment of the special ability of wind to act as the support of the mind, the special ability of water to act as the support of the mind arises, and so on, can be applied. Thus, after the special abilities of the four elements to act as the support of the mind have arisen, from this arises the state of the five aggregates that have become mutually dependent. Those, expressed in the plural, from this arise the five aggregates. Therefore, the commentary explains that "from this" means "from that." In the Mahamudra Tilaka, it is also said "from this" like the Wisdom Vajra. From this arises the inner six sense bases, which is the same as what is said in the scripture that the six sense bases arise from the cause of name and form. What is said to arise the five objects refers to what is held by the continuum of that sentient being. It is said that all of these are a mixture of wind and mind, which refers to the aggregates and so on that are held by the continuum of consciousness, some are a mixture of wind and mind, and some are a transformation of the mixture of wind and mind. Dependent on the appearance being moved by the vehicle of wind, various self-nature discriminations arise. Both this tantra and the Mahamudra Tilaka speak of one hundred and eight kinds. That is, those spoken of in the third chapter of the Vajramala. Therefore, in the Instructions Ear of Corn, the translation "one hundred in more than sixty stages" is due to the incorrect Chinese version. The commentary says that "stages" is only symbolic, and sometimes they also occur simultaneously. The way in which one hundred and eight kinds of self-nature discriminations arise from the establishment of the inner six sense bases is, the Vajramala Tantra says: "Object and sense are also truly combined, the channels also appear, from the east as before, the order of birth is unsurpassed. Because of the arising of universal thought, the order of one hundred and eight increases, from this arise birth and old age and sickness, having died, they return again." Thus.

Connected with the causal condition and the objective condition, from the combination of attention and wind, the pulses awaken and conceptualization arises. From the actions that arise from that, birth, aging, etc. occur in samsara, and again it reverts, that is, it is said that it holds existence in another birth. Also in the Five Stages, it is said: The mind has three aspects. Now I will explain its proof. The winds, with subtle forms, are mixed with knowledge and truth, and arise from the path of the senses, and become the objects of the senses. When the wind with appearance becomes the vehicle, then all that nature arises completely and without remainder. Wherever the wind dwells, there the nature clearly flows. It is said. Now, I will explain the proof of nature through these three minds, that is, the generation stage. The winds, etc., mean that the combination of wind and mind arises from the gates of the senses such as the eyes, and becomes the object of the senses such as form and sound. That very appearance is the meaning of the nature arising, driven by the vehicle of wind, so wherever the moving wind is, the nature follows it. Therefore, it is unreasonable to think that the two, sense consciousness and the conceptualization of nature, are contradictory. It is also said in the Perfection of Thatness: In this way, in one day, it has movement, because it manifests in the senses, the senses and objects meet, because the senses and objects meet, it focuses on things. Because it is possessed by the demons of extreme attachment to desires and dislikes, etc., it revolves in the extremely difficult to overcome cycle of existence. It is said that when the moving wind goes to the gates of the senses, the senses turn to the objects, so the senses and objects meet, and from then on, the consciousness mixed with the wind enters the objects, and from that, conceptualizations arise. Saying that the sense consciousness enters the object and the conceptualization of nature arises is from the point of view that the conceptualization of nature is extremely coarse, not just the conceptualization of nature. It is said in the Compendium of Conduct: The wisdom of wisdom is like the light of the moon, only emptiness. The wisdom of means is also like the light of the sun, very emptiness. Similarly, the wisdom of obtaining appearance is like the darkness of the boundary, it is empty.

This is the characteristic of the fifth great category. These three consciousnesses, whose nature is that of space, whose essence of formlessness is pervasive, are free from going and coming. When the Bhagavan said this, then how do they expand and contract on their own bodies during the day and night? What creates confusion here? What makes it mindless? From where do the one hundred and sixty natures, such as desire, detachment from desire, and the intermediate state of desire, arise and become the cause of experience? Please, Bhagavan Vajra Guru, explain this. The Vajra Guru said: These three consciousnesses are rootless, baseless, groundless, signless, colorless, shapeless, and beyond the senses, which is true. However, they are accompanied by appearance. Therefore, they create confusion together with the wind element. Because the wind element, although formless, shows actions such as shaking and moving, it can be understood through inference. Similarly, the appearance of consciousness is also formless, but it can be inferred through natures such as desire, detachment from desire, and the intermediate state of desire. Therefore, it should be understood through inference. By saying this, one should understand the characteristics of nature and the three appearances. Among them, adding "only" to the first two appearances is to cut off the existence of nature at that time, and the third is the same, as mentioned before. Having the nature of space is like the appearance of space filled with the light of the moon and sun and the darkness in between. Formless is the non-appearance of the aspects of objects other than these. Pervasive is the appearance of being pervasive in all directions. Free from going and coming is the absence of the causal movement of coarse conceptualizations. Thus, what the teacher said is that even the appearance of the base period is called "action wisdom," so do not cling only to the three appearances of manifestation, because it is said many times in the base period as well, like luminosity. Thus, the conceptualizations of the nature of the three appearances should not be extended outward to the objects, nor should they be contracted inward, because the mind does not remain stable in one base, so who is creating the confusion of expansion and contraction? This is asking the author. What makes it mindless?
