The contemplation of the Buddhas of the three realms, which is the recitation of complete knowledge, is said to be the Vajra recitation. Because it is dependent arising, because the self-nature of the individual and the dharma is without self-nature, through that door, the recitation accomplishes peaceful and other actions, therefore it is said to be virtuous. It is also said in the seventh chapter of the Root Tantra: 'Beggar' is fourfold. 'Bhiksha' (Sanskrit) means beggar, in which 'bi' (Sanskrit) means difference, and 'akshara' (Sanskrit) means letter, reciting with the difference between letter and wind is eating the beggar. Not doing such a thing is eating the beggar and not reciting, which is the meaning of the two. After that, the meaning of the two is that even when reciting without difference, one enjoys it by knowing the nature of desire, and the yoga of the deity, which is a branch of mantra Vajra recitation, is done without deterioration. Thus, the mind of all views is aroused by the recitation of the three letters, and the recitation of understanding the meaning contemplated by the Buddhas of the three times by the virtuous one who has no self-nature is said to be the Vajra recitation. And the words such as attachment to solicitation, eating the food of beggars and not reciting, etc., are arranged for the purpose of understanding the reality of the definitive meaning mantra. The second has four: definitely showing with the intention of prophecy and separately definitely showing, the later tantra clarifies the inner time, again the intention of prophecy clarifies the subtle yoga, and the two non-dual victors also explain the method of explaining the reality of mantra. The second is that the meaning of the four sentences summarized from 'that' to 'non-deterioration recitation' is explained in sequence by the tantras. First, the definite explanation of the meaning of the root tantra is briefly shown, and then the separate definite explanation of the detailed explanation of those is that the meaning of the root tantra is clearly explained by the assembled explanation tantra, so it is called the one who prophesies that meaning, and should enter into what is said therein, thus connecting. This has two: the question of the assembler and the answer of the teacher. The first has two: the actual question and the reason for the intention of the question. The first is: therefore, it should be clear again, thus connecting. To whom? To the glorious great Vairocana, the all-pervading Vajradhara. By whom?

That is, to Vajrapani. What is requested? Please reveal this mind, which has various forms, that is, various kinds of minds, which become the cause of all sentient beings. What is the nature of the mind? Although it does not inherently exist, it is the basis for the arising of the cycle of existence called samsara. In the old translation, it says, "Therefore, although things do not exist, they are widely known as things." The meaning of these words is that Lakshmi shows that the mind appears in various forms with the first two lines, thus explaining the view of the Mind-Only school with aspects, and then the third line refutes the previous view, because the mind is the object of discrimination, it has no self-nature, and since there is no external object, all forms are false and inseparable from it. Because it cognizes, it is called mind, which is also considered to be a conventional truth, not an ultimate truth. Therefore, it only establishes the tenet of no self-nature, please reveal the ultimate bodhicitta, which is equal to space and has a clear light nature. How to reveal it? Please reveal it through personal experience, that is, please let the teacher personally manifest and reveal it. For what purpose? To benefit beings, that is, to speak for the benefit of future sentient beings. The meaning of requesting to reveal this mind is to show the method of perfecting the experience of the bright bodhicitta, which is equal to space, that is, the method of experiencing it without any inversion. By whom should it be revealed? By the one who benefits beings. To whom should it be revealed? To the supreme person, that is, to a person like a precious jewel. Although there is no self-nature, existence arises from it, which asks about the non-contradictory way, that is, although there is no self-nature, in order to ask about the method of realizing the suchness of the mind in which action and non-action are not contradictory, that is why it is said. Secondly, the reason for asking such a question is for those in the future who only know the ritual of the first step of practice, but turn their backs on the definitive meaning of the tantras. Like this, I am the Vajra Master. The Dharma that I have taught is this, there is no other, saying this to the disciple,

Now, not allowing understanding, therefore it destroys or harms the children. Therefore, the method of making the luminous mind of Bodhicitta manifest, as explained by intention, is the way of not understanding the meaning as it is. In the Compendium of Conduct, it says: "The suchness of mantra, in the root tantras such as the Compendium of Suchness and the subsequent tantras, only the mantra is spoken, but the collection of mantras is not taught. In the explanatory tantras, the collection of mantras, the symbols of mantras, the meaning of mantras, and the suchness of mantras, the Bhagavan has only said to be true." Therefore, those who do not understand the explanatory tantras and are overly attached to external secret mantras will not understand. As the prophecy of intention says, if one does not understand, all the mantras to be recited are recited with the mouth and mind.
