Now is the time to explain this truth. Now, let us enter the root tantra that briefly explains the suchness of mantras, that is, the collection of unclear words. As stated in the tenth chapter, it should be connected in this way. Where are the condensed mantras Om (藏文:ༀ,梵文天城体:ॐ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Om), Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:Ah), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) mentioned? The way these three become the collection of all mantras is: In the "Compendium of Practices," it says that mantras such as those for snakes are all truly produced from Ali and Kali. The suchness of these is the three letters produced from the indestructible. Because all mantras are the nature of female, male, and neuter, they completely merge into the three letters according to the oral instructions received. Therefore, these three letters are the masters of all mantras. Thus, all mantras such as those for snakes, merging into the three letters with the nature of female, male, and neuter, is the meaning of the collection of mantras. The oral instructions as heard refer to the way mantras merge into these three, obtaining the oral instructions as they are, that is, knowing and collecting them there. Also, in the "Compendium of Practices," it says that Ali and Kali produce the three letters in the manner of female, male, and neuter. Apart from this, in the treatises of the five masters, namely Aryadeva, Aryadeva, Nagarjuna, Bodhibhadra, Shakyamitra, and Chandrakirti, there is no clear explanation of how vowel and consonant mantras produce the three letters in the manner of female, etc. On this, the Kashmiri scholar Lakshmi's symbols of female, etc., made by phonemes, etc., are deceptive with confused symbols, so they are not adopted here. Here, considering what is to be pervaded as means and what can pervade as wisdom, there are no other symbols of male and female. Therefore, the nature of phenomena is what can pervade, so it is wisdom; the characteristic of phenomena is what is to be pervaded, so it is means. But means cannot pervade wisdom, because means is what needs to be sought by wisdom. In this way, Ali is what can pervade Kali, so it is the nature of wisdom, called female; Kali is what is to be pervaded, so it is the nature of means, called male. Ya, Ra, La, and Va are the nature of containers, so they are neither female nor male, therefore they are neuter.

It should be known. Among them, all the vowels contained from A to the end are summarized, so A is female. From Ka to Ha, summarized in reverse order, Hum is male. The last letter of Ya, Ra, La, and Wa is connected to A, and these also arise from the nasal sound. The vowel that follows, ༀ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om), is neuter. Thus, through the mantras of vowels and consonants, the method of generating the three letters in the manner of male, female, and neuter is explained. These three letters are the secret essence of the body of Vairochana, the speech of Amitabha, and the mind of Akshobhya, of all the Tathagatas of the past, present, and future. Therefore, the mantra is the heart essence of all deities, which constantly inspires and awakens their minds. The ultimate secret is non-emptiness. Who said it? Vajradhara himself spoke it explicitly from his mouth in the way of language. As for "from the Vajra body, speech, and mind of oneself," Lakshmi explains that even from the body and mind, it is through the secret speech. However, what is spoken from the mouth actually arises from the Vajra body, speech, and mind, so there is no contradiction. As it is said in the Compendium of Practices: "Therefore, after the body becomes Vajra, it combines with the palate and lips, and becomes a collection of tongues, thereby entering Vajra speech. Vajra mind is what motivates it." As it is said. Through this Vajra speech, the yogis of the two stages inspire the minds of the Buddhas with the three essences of body, speech, and mind, and this is what is explained here, the latter of what was said. The truth of the mantra spoken in the thirteenth chapter, that is, "meaning," has four parts. Among them, meaning is the three winds. Realization is realizing those three letters. Recitation is reciting those two without duality, which is explained as Vajra recitation. That is, contemplating the time, the three letters, and the five winds explained as the nature of the five Buddhas without distinction, and reciting with a good heart, realizing that all wind mantras are without self-nature. The meaning of "by the Buddha" is "becoming a Buddha." Lakshmi, after realizing the meaning of the three winds, abides in the nature of making mantra, wind, and deity, etc., non-dual.
