The centers of each chakra are coiled and exist in the form of a thread. As stated in the Vajramala Tantra: "Lalana and Rasana, are named Avadhuti. The nature of body, speech, and mind, is fully manifested there. The nature of pervading above and below, each in the form of a thread. All the channels pervade everything, and the profound instructions reside in order." Thus it is said. There are six chakras: the navel chakra, which is the manifestation wheel, has sixty-four petals; the heart chakra, which is the dharma wheel, has one hundred petals; above that, the fire wheel below the throat has three petals; the throat enjoyment wheel has sixteen petals; the wind wheel in the center of the eyebrow has six petals; and the crown great bliss wheel has thirty-two petals, totaling one hundred and twenty-nine. Furthermore, in the Vajramala Tantra it says: "The channels residing in the wind wheel, six petals move in the space of wind. Three petals are said to be the fire wheel, the abode of three channels appears in order. Likewise, the enjoyment wheel also, the channels are said to be sixteen. The channels residing in the dharma wheel, eight channels pervade everything. Likewise, the manifestation wheel also, is said to appear as sixty-four. The great wheel of great bliss, the channels are said to be thirty-two. Thus, the abbreviated order is, one hundred and twenty-nine." It also says: "The wind wheel resides in the center of the eyebrow." It also says: "The three channels, the triangular fire mandala, is said to be below the throat." Thus it is said. The central channel is heard to extend from the crown to the end of the jewel and the end of the feet, as stated in the Manne Tantra. For women, it is said that the channel of Vajradhatvishvari resides in the center of the lotus. Since this is synonymous with the central channel, it is reasonable for men to reside between the jewels as well. Although it is said to start from the crown, it is better as Bhava Bhadra said, to start from the center of the eyebrow. The two channels, right and left, are similar to the yang end, and the yin end is similar to the central channel. It is said that the right and left channels rest in the navel and throat respectively, because they eject and hold semen and blood from there, indicating that they do not go beyond that range. The Manne Tantra says that there are four petals in the crown chakra and thirty-two petals in the secret place.

Regarding the earth and the lotus, it is said that there are three eight-petaled lotuses and four others, making a total of seven chakras. In the "Great Seal Bindu," it is also said that there are thirty-two knots, considering both the left and right sides, which adds up to sixteen. Thus, among the knots of the central channel, the most difficult one is the knot of the heart. As stated in the "Vajra Garland Tantra": "In the space of the heart's lotus, the wisdom vajra always resides. By truly relying on the upper and lower, the life and downward-cleansing winds move. Among them, there are also those difficult to distinguish, with three knots tightly wrapped in the center. By this, the downward-cleansing wind is cut off, and upward movement cannot be achieved." It also says: "The upper winds also go downward, even if the life wind tries to cut them off. They also enter the life channel, facing downward and not returning. They cannot go downward, because they are bound by the knot of ignorance." Here, the meaning of the first two lines will become clear, and the upper and lower refer to the life-sustaining wind arising from relying on the upper part of the heart chakra, and the downward-cleansing wind arising from relying on the lower channel. The lotus of the heart also has the two channels of ro and rkyang on the left and right sides in the center of that chakra, with three knots wrapped around them. That knot is very difficult to untie. That firm knot cuts off the function of the downward-cleansing wind from the central channel of the heart going upward, blocking it. Therefore, that wind cannot go upward from that path. Similarly, the upper winds such as the life-sustaining wind also enter the life channel, and although they face downward, they cannot go downward after entering from the path mentioned earlier. Because from there, the life-sustaining wind cuts off the function of going downward, because it is tightly bound by the knot of ro and rkyang. In the "Practice Summary," it says: "The winds of the four chakras run from the tips of the lower vajra and lotus to the upper nostrils." In particular, it is said that the downward-cleansing wind runs in the left nostril. Therefore, it is not that the winds generally located below do not run to the upper nostrils, and the winds located above do not run to the lower orifices, but rather that they cannot run up and down from the central channel of the heart. Therefore, in that same tantra, it says: "Whoever truly knows the basis of the sound called 'I'.
