It is a fabricated illusion. Knowing that is the supreme place. The so-called "Whoever knows is the teacher of beings," is explained by saying that knowing the letter A in this way is the supreme place, or the teacher, meaning the higher place. If here the letter A enters the lifeblood of all languages and words, binding others, and other letters do not need to enter its lifeblood, it is unreasonable to praise this in such a way. The grammarians also know just that much, because it is inferior knowledge common to outsiders. Furthermore, here, when combining all the recitations, etc., internally, and explaining the suchness of mantras, it is inappropriate to explain such external distinctions. This is because it is the time to avoid clinging to the mantras to be recited as merely external mantras. If someone thinks this way, it is good for those with discernment to have such doubts, so I will answer that question. Here, in the tantras, the noble one only quoted that the letter A is the root of all mantras, but did not explain it. Arya Deva quoted "The first one," etc., without explaining the words to others, but widely established the meaning of "All short sounds become language" through questions and answers. That shows the ultimate place of the letter A, so it must be known. Moreover, in the Compendium of Trainings it says: Those who explain the scriptures from here, first use the words of grammar, and only follow the meaning of the sound, but do not know where, for what, and how the letters enter. They do not know the suchness of letters, because that is the realm of the Buddhas. You should understand it according to the order of the teachings. Listen, it is said as an answer to the way of transformation of "All short sounds become language." Regarding this, those who explain the scriptures are all those of their own schools who have not understood the suchness of the letter A as explained by the tantras. Even those who have entered Anuttarayoga, but do not understand the meaning of the tantras, do not understand this meaning, and if it is said like that, then what need is there to mention those who explain the scriptures at a lower level? How much do those people know, and how much do they not know? If you think like that, relying on grammar,

I only know some of the meaning of the sound of vowels and short A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཐུང་). But I don't really understand the true essence of the short A letter as it is. That is, I don't understand where the short A letter is used when expressing meaning, and so on. The reason I don't understand is that it is to avoid falling into the realm of lower-level Buddha practice. Therefore, in order for others to understand what I don't understand, I will understand the true essence of the letters in the order explained below. The order to be explained below is: The so-called "complete language", in which language or sound refers to the forty-nine vowel and consonant letters. The so-called "complete" refers to the collection of all vowels and consonants, and all separate letters, dots, and tsheg-drag. And the ultimate meaning of Kunphen, the essence of sound, case endings, and suffixes, and so on. These can be understood by the term called "Vyakarana" (Sanskrit: བྱཱ་ཀ་ར་ཎ་). Therefore, from words and language to great treatises, it can be completed and can perfectly achieve worldly and transcendental achievements. The Lankavatara Sutra says: "Just as relying on a lamp to observe treasures in the dark, even without the lamp of discriminating words, one can enter the realm of self-realization, separate from discrimination." Therefore, separately understanding the meaning of the letters belonging to such language is the power of the short A letter. Without it, letters such as ka would not become words, because they are finite. To this, Chak (Tibetan: ཆག་) translates as: "Because ha is the end." Therefore, through these, the first statement that short A resides within the entire language is explained, that is, the actual meaning of the eight lines of poetry such as "one is in the center of nine", and this is also shown as common knowledge for phoneticians. Next, explaining the true essence of short A. The Name Praise (Sanskrit: མཚན་བརྗོད་) says: "A is the most excellent of all letters." And the six lines of poetry: "It is the seed word of the door of all meditations. The letter A has not arisen from the beginning, therefore it is the door of all dharmas." And, A is also said to be a co-emergent letter. As a source of knowledge, the Vajra Mandala Ornament Tantra (Sanskrit: རྡོ་རྗེ་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་རྒྱན་) says: "In the center of the heart, there is the indestructible, burning, like a lamp. Unchanging, supreme."
