It is said that what comes in and out of the right nostril is the lotus of the heart, what comes in and out of the left nostril is the lotus of the navel, and what comes in and out violently from both nostrils emits light from the lotus of the secret place, thus also showing the places of these four winds. This explains that these four winds that come in and out of the nostrils, when coming from the inside, come from those places, and when returning inward, enter those places, and it does not mean to prevent coming out from below those places and going downwards. Because the "Collection of Practices" says that the winds that rise upwards arise from the two nostrils below and rise upwards. Therefore, those places are merely shown as the places where those winds stay, just as the fire wind stays in the throat when it does not come in and out of the right nostril. The order of the four winds running, when running in the same order as will be explained below, how long does each of the four winds last? It lasts for half an hour and runs. There is an explanation for this: In the time of half an hour, it is shown to stay in order. The sutra says so. Man Nyer says: Half an hour comes in order, and stays in order. It is good to translate it this way. Lakshmi (Sanskrit Devanagari: Lakṣmī, Sanskrit Romanization: Lakṣmī, Chinese literal meaning: Goddess of Fortune) and Alamkaka are: The first of the four periods of the day is fire, the second is wind, the third from noon is earth, and the fourth is water, so there are four, and there are four in the night as well, for a total of eight. That is, each period has eight time units, and each time unit has three states of rising, entering, and staying, revealing the clear time unit without separation, so it becomes eight and a half time units. Half an hour is roughly said to have eight, and in detail it is said to have half of that. Because this sutra only says that there are sixty time units and sixty moments in a day and night, according to that statement, it avoids contradicting the statement of forty-four. This sutra and the "Four Seats" and the "Vajra Dakini" say that there are sixty time units in a day and night, and the moment is also said here to be the same as that. Hevajra and the "Compendium of Vows" say: There are thirty-two time units, forty-four moments, and sixteen changes in a day and night. This sutra and the "Non-Dual Supreme Bliss" say that the time for each mandala to run is half an hour. But in the "Prophecy of Intent," the time for each of the four mandalas to run is wind

Combining the nine hundreds of arising and dissolving stages, it is said that there are twenty-four sets of nine hundreds in a day. These need to be coordinated, directing them to one direction, and guiding them according to the five stages. It is said that each mandala exists for half a period, and this half period refers to each of the nine hundred winds. If someone asks, is it contradictory that the Vajra Garland says there are eight periods in a day? That refers to the combination of the external eight periods and the internal eight channels of the heart. Dividing into twenty-four half periods refers to the length of time the wind runs in each of the internal mandalas. Therefore, the four periods of the day have twelve large mandalas, so four mandalas cannot complete the periods of the day, and the same is true for the night. If someone asks, it is said that each set of nine hundred winds exists for half a period, this should be taken as the measure of transfer. If so, transferring from one nostril to another, there will be twenty-four nostril transfers in a day. If it is considered a transfer from one mandala to another, it is also unreasonable. Because for the upward-moving air and the equally dwelling air, if the nostrils do not transfer, the mandala will not transfer, and this transfer is also determined according to the overall situation of the wind. In response, Man Nyer said that in half a period, the four mandalas of earth, water, fire, and wind, each possessing the nature of two hundred and twenty-five, will descend, and then again in half a period, these four mandalas will descend into one nostril as before, and then descend into another nostril. According to this statement, after the right nostril passes through a set of fire-wind nine hundred, if another mandala's set of nine hundred runs, it contradicts the scriptures. If it runs repeatedly, why cut off the set of nine hundred into two sets? If someone asks, this is to understand that after the four small mandalas from the running of the fire's fire white cloth to the running of the fire's water Mamaki have been completed, the fire's fire white cloth, etc., runs again. Since the length of time each large mandala runs is not shown, it is unreasonable. Furthermore, if eight thousand one hundred winds transfer in the left and right nostrils, performing twelve transfers, then each wind needs to perform three large transfers. At that time, there are six sets of eight thousand one hundred root-life winds.
