When a man and a woman each meditate on a bindu at the tip of their own secret nose, taking it as the meaning of the four lines of "five wisdoms," this is the subtle yoga for those with attachment. And the four lines of "Ratna" are said to be the empowerment for those with hatred, meditating on the Hum syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) in the heart. Since this is the case, why not combine these quotations from the later tantras with the practice of wind on the upper nostrils? This seems to contradict the Compendium of Conduct and the Lamp Illuminating. Then, how should it be explained that in the Vajra Garland, meditating on three bindus at the three tips of the nose is said to be the path for each individual? The statement that one should meditate on three bindus at the three tips of the nose refers to the fact that for those who are heavily influenced by the three poisons, if they mainly practice this, they will quickly generate qualities, so it refers to what is mainly practiced. As will be explained, after the life-force of Vajra recitation enters the central channel, one should think in the heart: The life-force transforms into a bindu. As it is said, one must know the key to gathering the indestructible bindu into a short A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A). The commentary on the Vajra Garland also says: Here, too, there is a key instruction: First, relying on the five stages, the sequence of numbers, etc., the suchness of wind, and the suchness of mantra, etc., for half a period of time, in relation to the three yogas, the three bindus are shown in sequence, and then, "For entering and rising from the outside, one must definitely combine the wind that exists in the form of the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) of that sequence, and meditate on the nature of the bindu there. It is shown by the subtle wind, and it is said that it should remain there for a kalpa or a thousand kalpas." The life-force exertion of the sixfold union, the method of entering the central channel with the yoga of wind as taught in the later tantras, is that the noble father and sons all practice Vajra recitation, therefore, the later tantras also explain the meaning of the root tantra in this way, and say that through this, the winds can be gathered into the indestructible bindu, which should be understood as the ultimate suchness of wind. Third, the recitation of the coming and going of wind, clearly indicates each of the mandalas, and it is added that this is what is said in the explanatory tantra called Vajra Garland. Moreover, the former two do not merely generally explain the wind of the upper gate.

In short, it is a brief instruction, a detailed explanation, a summary of the main points, and an explanation of its difficulty to understand. The first part is: In the root tantra, it says, "Visualize a mustard seed on the tip of the nose." This refers to life, that is, the operation of breath, is the sign of prolonging exhalation, is a symbol. The operation of life or life and operation itself, has the nature of the five Buddhas, the five kinds of light completely exist in this. As it says, "Meditate on the five lights as Buddhahood," one should understand the meaning of wind, five lights as the five Buddhas. The Vajra Garland says: "The tip of the nose itself is supreme, it is the self-nature of the five winds, it is called the bindu of wind, the truth itself is also clear. The mustard seed on the tip of the nose, is also said in other tantras. The mustard seed on the tip of the nose, is the sign of life and operation." The first four sentences explain the position of meditating on the bindu of light, and the last four sentences explain the meaning said in other tantras such as the aggregation. If someone thinks that "tip of the nose" refers to which of the three tips of the nose, then it must be produced from the upper nose. And it is added that the form of production will become four kinds. What are the four kinds? They are the left and right nostrils separately, and the two nostrils flowing simultaneously and slowly. If this is taken as the path of flow, there are only three kinds. If the method of flow is used to distinguish, since the first three kinds do not explain the method of flow, then how can it become four kinds? It is divided into two kinds of alternating flow from left and right, and two kinds of simultaneous flow from both nostrils, thus becoming four kinds. In the case of simultaneous flow from both nostrils, it is further divided into two kinds of strong and weak flow. Therefore, through the word "slow," it can be understood that it flows more strongly than the former. Therefore, "both" is not a separate division, but from there the flow is divided into two kinds, strong and weak. These four kinds of flow are said to be considered as internal time in this tantra. That is to say, when determining the time of a day, instead of using external clocks and so on, it can be determined by the number of internal breath flows. Then, from what position do these four winds that enter and exit from the nostrils enter and exit? The one flowing from the right nostril is the throat, that is, it shows the entry and exit from the lotus of the throat. Similarly, slowly from both nostrils
