The nadis and elements that need to be gathered gradually enter the central channel, merging into the indestructible bindu at the point where the knot of the central channel at the heart is released. What arises from the co-operative cause of the dharmadhatu is the bardo arising from the clear light of death. Thus, according to both the Sutra and Tantra systems, the common sequence of entering samsara is that, not realizing the truth of the selflessness of mind, one grasps at a self, thereby generating other afflictions, and accumulating karma, one wanders in samsara. The uncommon way of wandering, as explained in the Anuttara Tantras, is that the winds arising from the indestructible bindu in the heart generate conceptual thoughts and accumulate karma, thus taking birth, and ultimately gradually dissolving back into it. If one does not understand this process, one will be bound in samsara. It is said that if one understands these two well, one will be liberated from samsara. If one understands the common sequence of birth and death, one will know that one must seek its reversal as explained in the Madhyamaka, and thereby realize the view of selflessness thoroughly. By relying on understanding the uncommon sequence of birth and death, one will see that in order to reverse birth and death, one must know a special method for reversing the karmic winds that generate conceptual thoughts. However, this is not necessary merely to be liberated from samsara, since the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas can attain liberation from samsara without relying on the special methods of Tantra. Therefore, one desires not only to exhaust the afflictions that are the cause of wandering in samsara, but also to purify all their habitual tendencies, and not to accomplish this over many eons as in the Paramitayana, but to quickly attain enlightenment. Attachment, hatred, and other Conceptual thoughts are what bind one to samsara. In the Paramita Vehicle, it is said that they arise from self-grasping. This is not denying that, but rather, it is not saying that they arise from karmic winds. Rather, when self-grasping acts as the proximate cause for generating these, the karmic winds act as the co-operative condition, thereby obstructing its power. Therefore, if one lacks the supreme method of obstructing the power of self-grasping to generate samsara, which is the wisdom of realizing selflessness, then even if the power of the karmic winds as a co-operative condition is temporarily stopped, one will not be liberated from existence.

Therefore, both are necessary. The former path has the power to eradicate from the root, and when combined with the latter path, it can quickly eradicate from the root, thus it is a swift path. Regarding this, whether or not it is explicitly stated in the two tantras of Anuttarayoga and their reliable commentaries, it is unanimously agreed that during the Completion Stage, the karmic winds are prevented from flowing in the left and right channels, causing them to enter the central channel and become pacified. In the Yogini Tantras, this is stated more clearly. Although it is not explicitly stated in the Yoga Tantra Guhyasamaja, it is repeatedly and clearly explained in the explanatory tantra Vajramala. Therefore, the process of entering the Clear Light of Emptiness through the Completion Stage comes about in the same way as the process of dying. As explained earlier, at the time of death, the winds and so forth gather into the central channel, which is why the stages of dissolution occur in that way. Although things exist in that way, the way the tantras and their commentaries explain it, other than the Guhyasamaja, is that the four emptinesses do not increase during the dissolution stage of the base phase, nor during the dissolution stage of the path phase. In the Compendium of Conduct, it says that during the stage of speech isolation, the winds ultimately enter the indestructible bindu and dissolve into the Clear Light of non-entity. During the stage of mind isolation, as quoted earlier, a quote from the Compendium of Wisdom Vajras is cited, explaining the stages of arising from the Clear Light of death, and from those, entering the Clear Light of the ultimate mandala, thus it is the dissolution stage of the base phase. During the stage of manifest enlightenment, when explaining the inner manifest enlightenment, and during the stage of extremely non-elaborate conduct, it shows how to clearly enter through the dissolution stage of the path phase. Glorious Nagarjuna's Bodhichitta, in the Differentiation of the Limits of Action, clearly explains how earth dissolves into water, etc. In the context of the ultimate mandala of the Stages of Arrangement, it explains how to enter the ultimate mandala of the base phase, and how to enter the ultimate mandala of the Vajramala explained there. In short, because it is said that the Clear Light is gathered through the residue, it is the dissolution stage of the generation stage. Also, because it is explained how to enter the Clear Light through the second dhyana, it is the dissolution stage of the completion stage, making three in total.
