It is burned by the power of the four actions, each multiplied fourfold. Two suns dry up small and large ponds, three suns dry up small and large rivers, and four suns make the lakes no longer warm. One side of the fifth and sixth suns dries up the great ocean. Some consider one side of the sixth sun to be the sun that has just risen. Then, the sixth and seventh suns burn Mount Meru and the great earth, and that flame, carried by the wind, is said to burn even the Brahma palaces below the Realm of Form. The destruction of the vessel world requires one intermediate kalpa, so in that way, from the time when beings in hell are no longer newly born and die and transmigrate until the vessel world is destroyed, that is the kalpa of destruction. As it says in the Treasury [of Knowledge]: "The kalpa of destruction, in hell, has no twilight until the vessels are exhausted." The second is: One should meditate. Thus, it is guided. Who meditates? The meditator of the generation stage. What should one meditate on? The meaning of the verses such as "There is no thing," that is, one should verbally recite those words and remember their meaning in one's mind. How should one meditate? In that way, or in the same way, as the meaning of abiding in the nature of space after the vessel world is destroyed. Therefore, having understood the meaning of the destruction of the vessel world in this context, one meditates on emptiness in accordance with it. And the explanation of the order of the destruction of the essence is merely explained as a branch of showing the order of the destruction of the vessel world, because meditating in accordance with the death of sentient beings is the time when the remainder is absorbed into the clear light, so it is not the same time as this. At the time of meditation, in summary, as it says in the sutra: "With this verse, meditate on emptiness those who have self-nature, whether caused or uncaused." Like this, although it is necessary to meditate that all of the vessel and essence are unobservable, the point of agreement with what one meditates in accordance with is the destruction of the vessel world, and not grasping the destruction of the essence world. Other systems say that meditating on emptiness at this time is in accordance with death, although there are many explanations, but those and this are not the same classification. At other times, just as one verbally recites mantras such as Svabhava (藏文:སྭ་བྷ་བ་,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāva,自性) and Shunyata (藏文:ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་,梵文天城体:शून्यता,梵文罗马拟音:śūnyatā,空性), and thinks about the meaning of the mantra in one's mind, here also one recites that verse and then meditates on its meaning, so both recitation and meditation should be done. So, this emptiness that is meditated in accordance with the space of the destruction of the vessel world, even if one has not found the view of emptiness, the vessel wo

Is it enough to merely focus on the appearance of the aggregates, or is it necessary to remember the meaning of gaining insight at that time? To this, the latter is definitely necessary, as stated in the Sutra Samuccaya: "Meditate on the object of non-existence." And so on, the meaning of the verse spoken is to meditate on the nature of emptiness. It is said that the meaning of this verse, as explained in the Lamp Illuminating, both the literal meaning and the general meaning, are appropriate here, and both of these are because they are spoken about the three wheels of non-inherent existence, the emptiness, the signlessness, and the wishlessness, of the meditator, the object of meditation, and the meditation. It is also necessary to gain certainty about the non-inherent existence of the three wheels and the three of essence, cause, and effect, which are established by their own characteristics. If one merely focuses on the pacification of the appearance of these three sets, it would be too extreme to transform into the samadhi of the three wheels of non-inherent existence and the three doors of liberation. Therefore, holding that the three realms, etc., exist in the ultimate sense or in truth is the root of samsara. Therefore, as an antidote to this, it is said that they are not established in the ultimate sense. As stated in the Condensed Sutra: "In the ultimate sense, all things, meditate on the three realms as non-existent." It is said here that the view of emptiness is definitely necessary. Thus, since all phenomena are not established in any way in the ultimate sense, the mere appearance is also reversed in the reality of where it is not established in the meaning of the wisdom of reason that ascertains this, so it is not the case that one does not meditate on the pacification of all appearances such as containers. In other cases in other texts, it is similar to this that it is necessary to gain insight in order to meditate on the meaning of mantras such as Svabhava As stated in the first chapter of the Glorious Samputa: "First, by thinking of praise, cleanse the defilements of sentient beings, the form realm is called emptiness, likewise, sound should also be done." And so on, it is said to meditate after establishing the eighteen realms as empty. It is also stated in the third chapter of the Four Seats of Vajra. It is also said in the fourth chapter of the third examination of the Samputa: "Then, abiding in the distinction of samadhi, one should view all phenomena as selfless, these external and internal objects are established only by the mind, since there is nothing other than the mind, all phenomena...
