This is a rough explanation; the details should be understood during the stage of the Completion Phase. Thus, death is when the aggregates, etc., dissolve, and all coarse appearances subside, becoming concordant with the Dharmakaya. The Bardo is composed only of wind and mind, and has an extremely subtle body like a rainbow body, thus being concordant with the Sambhogakaya. When it becomes an object of the flesh eye and takes birth capable of accomplishing those activities, it is like the Nirmanakaya taking birth, appearing on the path of ordinary people's vision, and accomplishing those purposes. Therefore, by meditating on the three paths similar to these three, ultimately, when ordinary people face death, the death of a yogi who realizes the ultimate truth is transformed into the Dharmakaya. When ordinary people face the Bardo, the Sambhogakaya, composed only of wind and mind, arises from the reverse manifestation of clear light. When ordinary people face rebirth in Samsara, the Nirmanakaya arises for the yogi, taking birth joyfully for the benefit of beings. This is a supreme characteristic of this, which is different from the Trikaya explained in other texts. Thus, these three, birth, death, and Bardo, which are the cause of Samsara, devoid of skillful means, are transformed into the three Kayas that are just like them through the power of skillful means. This is clearly stated by the Holy Father and Sons. Therefore, with the key point of accomplishing the three Kayas that are of the same nature as the three, birth, death, and Bardo, which are the basis, the order of meditation that corresponds to these three is also shown on the path, in accordance with each order of the world of vessels and contents. It is said, "In order to correspond to that, meditate on a path like this." For example, if someone draws many meaningless images on a canvas, another person says, "In order to correspond to that, draw this Buddha image." Just like that, for those in Samsara, vessels and contents arise in this way; in order to correspond to that, please accomplish a palace and three Kayas like this. Meditating on those is meditating in the form of accomplishing that and that. In this way, just as one establishes that a practitioner who successively establishes Dharma in accordance with the system is a person from Jambudvipa, it must be done in the same way. Therefore, the body and birth that are meditated upon in accordance with what.

One should also meditate on the three bardos of death in accordance with that. Although the order of existence of the vessel and essence of the first kalpa is a realm in accordance with the Dharma, it is not a basis for taming, because one does not tame it by the action of meditating on the path now. Both stages tame the three bardos of birth, death, and intermediate state, but neither can do it alone, so it is necessary to meditate on both. In general, understanding the key points of the second stage of the unsurpassable depends a lot on the first stage, and especially in the lineage of the sublime, the understanding of the key points of the path depends on knowing the first stage very thoroughly. Therefore, to thoroughly establish the key points of this path, one should become familiar with the commentaries on the stages of the system, and seek them patiently with confidence, without going astray. Now, the ordinary order will be explained: In order to tame death and ripen the continuum for the arising of great bliss, one enters the mandala of ultimate truth, remains in that very state, and when rising from it, in order to tame the intermediate state, just as an ordinary person dies and arises as a being of the intermediate state from mere wind and mind, so here too, one arises as the body of the first protector from mere wind and mind. The way of this is that, just as from the clear light of death arises the near attainment, from that arises increase, and from that arises the order of appearance, in order to tame these three, one meditates on the three, sun, moon, and lotus. The wind that carries the three appearances is the three letters. It is said briefly in the sutra: 'The mantra and the lotus, the sun, etc., enter into the circle of the moon.' Therefore, although there is a method of merging the three letters and the lotus upwards into the moon, and the sun downwards, without changing the moon, it is said in the Sutra Collection: 'Gather all of them together.' And it is also clear in other Holy Collections, so one meditates on the moon from the mixture and transformation of all. All the vessels and essences are not other than the moon, and the moon itself is just wind and mind. One should hold the pride of 'That is me' and recite the mantra, namely: Dharma (藏文, धर्म,dharma,法), Dhatu (藏文, धातु,dhātu,界/种子), Svabhava (藏文, स्वभाव,svabhāva,自性), Atmaka (藏文, आत्माक,ātmakaḥ,自我), Aha (藏文, अह,aha,我), meaning: The root of the vessels and essences, the moon appearing as wind and mind, that is me, that is, the wind and mind that is the basis for the accomplishment of the intermediate state. Although it is said in the Vehicle of Characteristics that the root of all dharmas is the mind, its carrying wind is
