JLD005 0009.A clear exposition of the meaning of empowerment in the ritual of the mandala of glorious Guhyasamaja Akshobhyavajra..g2.0f

English

When the fire of wisdom is kindled at the navel, the melted essence descends in sixteen drops, transforming into something like a jasmine flower, propelled by the blessing of the wind. In its own nature, it is completely peaceful; the Dharmakaya's peace is just that, and bliss is where the jewel resides. In an instant, it causes one to lose consciousness and waver; that is the great accomplishment. As it is said, just as it is said, due to the cause of entering into samadhi, the wind of the secret place stirs, like kindling the fire of Brahma at the three-way intersection below the navel, becoming one with the fierce fire and blazing intensely. Gradually ascending upwards, it melts the essence of the crown chakra, drawing from the sixteen places of the body's bindu, the white bodhicitta like jasmine flowers. Propelled downwards by the wind, passing through the lotus veins and abiding in the vajra jewel, without ever regressing, the illustrative luminosity arising from this, and the co-emergent wisdom, should be recognized. That should be recognized as the empowerment of prajna wisdom. This is also said in the oral instructions: "Thereafter, to that self-born, Dharmakaya, supreme joy, equal to space, what is called the supreme deity, bestows the daughter for the sake of realization." So it is said. The two verses of "in its own nature," and "with wisdom combined, glorious," should be truly expressed. So it is said. For those who have not comprehended the meaning of suchness, permission is not given to rely on a real consort and use desire as the path. Because one possesses the view of thoroughly understanding selflessness, the bliss arises as previously described. Thereafter, remembering the view of selflessness, by bliss, ascertain the emptiness of selflessness; this is the co-emergent joy of the inseparability of bliss and emptiness. Merely because great bliss arises and the mind's conceptual thoughts temporarily cease, it is not the meaning of the inseparability of bliss and emptiness. That is the third empowerment, a special way of obtaining it. Because there is no such understanding of emptiness, one cannot obtain such a third empowerment. Due to the superiority or inferiority of the person giving the empowerment and the person receiving the empowerment, even if it is the same third empowerment, there will be many ways of obtaining it; the other empowerments are also similar. This empowerment is given relying on the wisdom mudra, and one should also slowly clarify the visualizations as previously described, thereby gaining certainty. The bodhi nectar arising from the union of the father and mother.

Regarding the object of inseparable bliss and emptiness arising from the jewel heart of the lotus (Tibetan: བ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: padma, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: padma, Chinese literal meaning: lotus), it should be well ascertained and recognized. For those without view, it is also necessary to ascertain and recognize the object of the bliss aspect. The third joy is the Near Attainment Empowerment, and the fourth is the Coemergent, all empty, is the Fourth Empowerment, and the Third Empowerment itself becomes the Fourth. Although the Clear Explanation of Union states this, it is not found in the Root Tantra of Hevajra, which corresponds the four joys and four empowerments in number, nor in Manje (name of a person) as the method of bestowing the four empowerments explained as empowerments for the superior faculties. In the Great Seal Bindu, it says that the wisdom consort and the bliss of wisdom and empowerment are the bliss of melting and descending, and the coemergent that prevents it is not the method of bestowing the Fourth Empowerment. In the Explanatory Tantra Vajra Garland, it says that the coemergent arises at the time of the Third Empowerment. Furthermore, there are many reliable scriptures, so it is unreasonable, because it has already been explained in detail in the Stages of the Path, and because there is too much, I am afraid, so I have not written it. The disciple should try to hold on to the Bodhicitta without letting it go. If you cannot hold it for long,

Purifies the stains that obscure the appearance of all that is unreal, making it appear as inseparable bliss and emptiness. Empowered to meditate on the complete stages of ultimate luminosity and its branches. It is said that it establishes the special ability to manifest the Dharmakaya of the fruit. Although there is also an explanation of the "Bhaga" mandala as an external mandala, the "Bhaga" in which the empowerment of the complete stage is obtained is the "Bhava" of the secret place. Offerings, prayers, blessings, entrustments. Auspicious words, questions and answers, nurturing disciples. Clarification, invitation, absorption of the deity being practiced. Slight joy, introduction, drinking, joyful statement. The pure giving of empowerment is the vow of wisdom empowerment. Fourth, bestowing the fourth empowerment, in three parts: Offering the mandala and making supplications, bestowing the fourth empowerment, giving purification and making offerings. First, the disciple, with the good fortune of holding the pride of Vajradhara, receives the oral instructions of luminosity, joins his palms and holds a garland of flowers. Again, in order to receive the empowerment of the vessel of the oral instructions of the union of the two truths of enlightenment from the lama, he offers a mandala. By the grace of your lotus feet, I have received the three principal empowerments. Today, I also pray for your grace to protect the precious fourth empowerment. Thus, he prays three times with great reverence. Secondly, there are two parts: the nature of the fourth empowerment, and the actual ritual of bestowing that empowerment. First, in three parts: how the fourth empowerment is bestowed according to the scriptures, determining the meaning of the fourth, and showing the two empowerments in terms of example and meaning. First, from the Secret Accomplishment: The empowerment of the mudra is precious, and it should be declared while abiding in the vow. After the empowerment of the three realms. The empowerment of the mudra that is spoken of is the third empowerment, and the precious empowerment is the fourth empowerment. As the Sambhuta says: If you are devoted to the profound and vast, then perform the precious empowerment of speech. As it is said. In the Compendium of Conduct: By the empowerment of the three realms. As it is said, it should be consistent with the former. From the Five Stages: The mind of enlightenment is called the ultimate truth. A good disciple with good fortune receives the oral instructions. Joining the palms and holding the flowers, one should receive them again from the lama.
