Moreover, some say, "Its nature is the intermediate arising." The latter is correct, as it agrees with the Compendium of Conduct. Here, the intermediate arising nature is said to be the intermediate of the three discriminations of desire. Confusion refers to mistaking mirages for water, etc. Distraction refers to the hesitation of engaging in two minds on the object. Lack of mindfulness refers to forgetfulness. Laziness refers to disinterest in virtue. Non-speech refers to not wanting to speak. Unclear refers to the sorrow of being in a bad mood. The second is that which arises directly in reverse order from ignorance, which is the mind-born radiant manifestation. This is like the autumn sky without clouds, where the sun's light is particularly clear, separate from the coarse appearance of grasper and grasped. Its meaning is the absence of the appearance of body and speech. Like a mirage. This is the second example of a clear appearance, but it does not appear as a mirage. The nature of the spreading is the discrimination of desire, small joy, great joy, supreme joy, and the like, forty discriminations. For the wisdom of spreading, in conventional truth, it is indicated by the form of manifest males, the assembly of goddesses, and symbols such as linga and vajra. The third is that which arises directly in reverse order from the mind-born spreading, which is the mind appearance. This appears like the autumn sky without clouds being illuminated by moonlight, without grasper and grasped, and is very clear, like the moon in water. Its nature is thirty-three discriminations, such as being free from desire. For appearance, in conventional truth, it is indicated by the form of manifest women and bhaga, lotus, and the assembly of goddesses. The term "conventional truth" refers to the nature of ultimate truth that appears like the cloudless sky mentioned earlier, or to the nature of falsehood. The implication of the latter two is that, for ignorance, it is indicated by the symbol of the union of male and female organs, which is conventional truth. Thus, when the wind of conceptual movement is not dissolved, eighty kinds of self-nature discriminations arise. When the wind of conceptual thought dissolves, the winds that mount the three appearances dissolve and do not dissolve.

In the Mother Tantra, it is said that non-dissolution is the time when the three appearances arise, and dissolution is the time when luminosity appears. The stages of wind dissolution also have extremely numerous stages in the four emptinesses due to the degree of dissolution. Explaining luminosity in the context of the appearance mind hidden is to indicate the place where the three minds arise. The second has two parts: the stage of the basis and the stage of the path. The first is to show where the previously mentioned bardo enters, the place where the luminosity of death is experienced, and the order of arising from it. When the father's vajra and the mother's lotus are truly united, the wisdom of knowledge arises, and the appearance of detachment from desire arises. From the effort of the father's own vajra inserting into the lotus, fire, that is, warmth, arises. Although the appearance of detachment from desire appears below, it is related here because it is a synonym for the name of the first appearance. From that fire, the water of the two drops of the father's white element and the mother's red element, mixed in the mother's place of birth, is the place where the bardo enters, which is a sticky shape, and then from that ripening, a blurry shape arises. The order described here is as described in the commentary on the Abhidharma and the sutras on entering the womb. In the "Nomenclature" and "Reality of the Ground," the blurry shape is mentioned first, but the meaning is the same. Then from that ripening, a slender shape arises, and then from that ripening, round shapes arise. Then from that ripening, the hardened clots of semen and blood arise. Those, such as the sticky ones, are produced by semen and blood. After conception in the womb and birth outside, then the male and female organs When the two act together, know that it arises from the mind of desire, the mind of detachment from desire, and the intermediate desire, the extreme arising of knowledge. In the translation of Nagtso, it says: Because the intermediate desire arises extremely, it is called knowledge, therefore it is called the three consciousnesses. It says so. In the translation of Marpa, it says: Know the intermediate desire. It says so. There are two explanations of the three desires, such as attachment, in the nature of thought, and the three appearances, increase, and attainment, but here it is the latter. Among them, attachment and detachment in appearance means less bliss.
