Thus, the individual of each child, called "intermediate existence" (srid pa bar ma), becomes the cause of samsara. Those who have obtained the instructions of all the Tathagatas through the lineage of the gurus, are called "I am blessed," like the appearance in a wall, a painted canvas, or a mirror. As it is said in the scripture, "By the very nature of the Vajra body, emanate oneself." If one knows how to take the path of the Bardo Sambhogakaya, one can generate the four emptinesses as one understands the stages of death, and thus know how to transform death into Dharmakaya. If one knows these two, one will also know how to transform rebirth into Nirmanakaya. At the time of death, as the winds gather at the heart and the four emptinesses sequentially arise, one enters the clear light. Similarly, doing this during the path is the supreme tradition of the Protector Nagarjuna, from the Five Stages: "From the head to the feet, as long as it reaches the heart, the yogi enters the ultimate perfection, and is said to be the enjoyer." Thus, the end of gathering downward from the crown of the head, and the end of gathering upward from the feet, both enter the clear light through the indication of the heart. Furthermore, in the same text it says: "The breath of wind, like in a mirror, how it completely dissolves from all directions, similarly, the yogi enters the ultimate perfection, again and again." Just as when one breathes on a mirror, the vapors gather from all directions to the center, so too, the winds of the body, such as those below, gather at the central heart, thereby manifesting the clear light. This meaning is also explained in the Sutra Requested by the Four Goddesses, and it has already been explained in its commentary. Therefore, even through the Vajra recitation that draws in the empty wisdom of mind isolation, it is necessary to gather the winds into the center of the heart chakra. The key points for this are to be understood from the sixth chapter of the Vajra Garland, the chapter on the Essence of Body, Speech, and Mind, and the Sutra Requested by the Four Goddesses. Here, I have not written them for fear of too much content. If one does not understand this uncommon sequence of gathering the winds from other directions into the heart and gradually dissolving them, thereby manifesting the four emptinesses, then one will hold the sequence of the Bodhicitta descending from the crown of the head to the channels of the secret place as being no different from the arising of the four joys and the four emptinesses, thereby confusing the tradition of the noble

Those extraordinary things will not appear. It is also thought that the four joys like that can be turned into four emptinesses, but that alone is not enough to fully understand the wisdom of these four emptinesses. Third, in this tantra, what does it mean that all things such as the five aggregates and the six sense sources are said to be mixed with wind and mind? To this, many ancient Tibetan assembly members quoted from that treatise and the Vajramala: "Other than the self-life that has become the core, there is nothing else in the three realms, illusion is the three realms of wind, seen as in a dream." This explains that there is nothing else in the three realms other than the life of each sentient being, that is, the wind. Furthermore, it also says: "Birth and dwelling and destruction, existing in the intermediate state, as long as the world observes, are all manifestations of the wind of the mind." It also says in the Intentional Prophecy: "Wind arises from bodhicitta, dwells in the sky, becomes the life of all sentient beings, the five natures have ten names, known as the twelve links, the nature transforms into three." These all show that the conventional truth is only wind and mind. That is to say, because there is no external object, it is only mind, and the activity of the mind's coming and going is called wind, and there is no other wind besides that. The venerable Nagarjuna also agrees with this view, and in the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning, he says: "The great elements and so on that are spoken of are completely contained in consciousness." The Lamp Illuminating says: "In this way, the fruit of the aspiration of external forms is also non-existent, because there is no proximate object of aspiration and so on. Therefore, meditating like external objects is meaningless and non-existent, because it is the nature of the mind." It says therein: "The mind should be combined with the three consciousnesses." That is to say: "Form and so on are this mind, it should be understood in this way." In this way, Chandrakirti also explains that nominally, it is considered to be only mind without external objects. But I don't think this is reasonable, because Chandrakirti cannot distinguish whether external objects and consciousness exist in the two truths, so he considers it to be true.
