And the two times of the name of appearance have passed, the dawn spoken of between the time when the sun has not yet risen. When the sun rises, appearance increases, and at the time when the sun sets, it is ignorance, and when the moon rises, it is appearance, thus it is said, and this can be known by relying on combining it with the five stages. When showing the inner manifestation of enlightenment, first, like a mirage, one sees it as having a collection of five rays of light. Second is appearance, like the rays of the moon. Third is the increase of appearance, like the rays of the sun. Fourth is the attainment of appearance, like darkness. Then, in the moment of being free from darkness, there is clear light, that is, extremely clear, having the characteristic of always appearing. The self-nature of ultimate truth is seen with the eye of wisdom, thus it is said. This should be examined, the first of the two outer and inner enlightenments shown to the student by the lama is: If one divides one outer day and night into four parts and keeps the four emptinesses that are taught as they are, then the fourth emptiness is the moment of enlightenment, and it is unreasonable that it is the realm of the yogi himself. If one uses the four skies of that time as examples to teach the four emptinesses, then the four inner emptinesses should also be like that, and the difference between outer and inner cannot be distinguished, because in the inner case, the sun and moon and darkness are also used as examples to show it. If one makes it so that one wisdom of the four emptinesses arises in each of those four times, then it will not be possible for the complete four emptinesses to arise in each of those four times, so from where can one distinguish the difference between the two outer and inner enlightenments? On this, Je Gos recorded the views of Nāropa, and the views of the two, the Consort and Black Samaya Vajra, that is, two systems. The first is that teaching the four quarters of a day and night as the four emptinesses is a direct meaning because it is an example of the nature of reality, time, signs, and symbols, that is, the outer manifestation of enlightenment, and the definitive meaning is the inner manifestation of enlightenment, that is, when the bodhicitta vajra reaches the root, waist, and vajra vase through action mudra and samadhi, when one seals those three pleasures with emptiness and meditates on them, at the time of the three appearances of the path and the two losses and two abidings, the wisdom of bliss that reverses the conceptual thought of self-nature is all emptiness and clear light. The second is the outer.

Representing with four examples, from the perspective of being free from four aspects of sudden conceptualizations, and representing from the perspective of the experience of integrating illusion into luminosity through outer enlightenment and meditation, is called inner Abhisambodhi. Lakshmī says: The four emptinesses spoken of in terms of day and night refer to the inner four emptinesses that have names. The fourth emptiness that relies on Karma Mudrā and the fourth emptiness that relies on Jñāna Mudrā or is obtained through the sequence of five signs such as mirages, etc., is called inner Abhisambodhi. The commentaries 'Moonlight', 'Meaningful', the commentary on 'Samaya Vajra', and Thupa Pal also say that the four emptinesses spoken of in the outer context refer to the inner four emptinesses, and the difference between outer and inner is not clearly distinguished. If analyzed as previously stated, there is no problem with those that distinguish the difference between outer and inner, and it does not seem that there is a problem with the statements of those that do not distinguish the difference. This place is very difficult to understand and seems very important, so it needs to be studied. Among them, the two Abhisambodhis refer to the luminosity of meaning. Regarding the method of placing this luminosity into two enlightenments, outer and inner, it is said in the Tantra commentary: When combined with outer Abhisambodhi, at the time when dawn appears, it will be accomplished through excellent meditation. The saying 'at the time when dawn appears' refers to the time of dawn. When combined with inner Abhisambodhi, the meaning of that time, refers to accomplishment at the time of approaching the past attainment. Therefore, the luminosity of meaning manifests, relying on the special time of dawn, and is called outer Abhisambodhi. Moreover, from the perspective of the gradual manifestation of the inner four emptinesses, it is called inner Abhisambodhi. Therefore, making the other three times of one day and night into three emptinesses, just like the previously mentioned solitude of mind, although it symbolizes the space of that time, there is no fault of being unable to distinguish the difference between outer and inner. The non-learning Yuganaddha is also said to be obtained at dawn from the Five Stages, Compendium of Conduct, and Drolicking Thigle, and obtaining it at this time is similar to the learning Yuganaddha. It is also said in the Vajra Ghanta Tantra: Abiding well in the place of meditation, after entering the Mudrā once, the Vajra union also
