As it is said, entering through reason is the result. In "Vimalaprabha" it says: "Vajra is the great indivisible and indestructible, and it itself is the Mahayana, which is the Vajrayana, the principle of mantra and the principle of paramita, the nature of fruit and cause becoming mixed into one." The meaning of vajra is considered to be the fruit of the principle of mantra and the cause of the principle of paramita, the two being inseparable, and the name and meaning of Vajrayana are explained. Its cause and effect are stated in the "Abhisamayalankara": "Emptiness holding form is the cause; The fruit holds unchanging compassion. Emptiness and compassion are inseparable; It is said to be bodhicitta." As it is said, it is the emptiness that possesses all supreme aspects and the supreme unchanging bliss. These two are inseparable, and there are two vehicles of cause and effect, proceeding by this and proceeding here. Such Vajrayana refers to the Anuttarayoga, and it is not permissible in the case of the lower tantra, because the supreme unchanging bliss must be established from obtaining the limb of samadhi, and it must be accomplished by the limbs from mindfulness onwards, because those limbs do not possess the complete limbs of the cause. Therefore, here, when recognizing the general meaning of Vajrayana, it is less pervasive, and establishing the meaning of the cause-and-effect vehicle by that principle is also not pervasive in the general establishment. Therefore, here, one should act as stated in the "Garland of Lotuses", the so-called Vajrayana, is the collection of all Mahayana, which is the six paramitas, and the collection of these is skillful means and wisdom, and these are also collected into one taste, which is bodhicitta, and this is also the samadhi of Vajrasattva, and it itself is the vajra. Vajra is also it, and the vehicle is also it, so it is called Vajrayana, which is the meaning of the mantra vehicle. As it is said, the yoga of Vajrasattva, which combines skillful means and wisdom without separation, is Vajrayana, and it has both the path and the fruit. Because it is more skillful in means than the Paramitayana, it is the vehicle of skillful means. From the perspective of eliminating the two extremes, non-duality and the fruit.

It is called Vajrayana, also known as the Fruition Vehicle, the Means Vehicle, and the Secret Vehicle, because it is the path itself, the greatness of skillful means, and because it is extremely secret. So it is said. The treasury of vidyadharas shows the basis of learning and the ultimate attainment for those who hold vidya mantras, as explained in the commentary on the Sutra Requested by Strong One. When entering the meaning of the Anuttara Tantra, regarding the treasury of vidyadharas, there are two views: one that it is the fourth treasury that does not belong to the three pitakas, and the other that it belongs to the three pitakas. However, in the Strong One Sutra, it says, "The secret mantras are taught in the form of sutras, listen carefully." Furthermore, many tantras also teach sutras and sutra pitakas. Therefore, it is good that Shantipa gathers and teaches the profound meaning, considering it to be a sutra pitaka. If we further divide it into subcategories, since it also explains the meaning of the other two pitakas, it is reasonable for Abhaya to consider it to belong to all three pitakas. Tantra means continuous, and it includes three types: the basis tantra for entering the path, which is the action of the path; the path tantra that tames it; and the fruition tantra that is the result of taming. The latter refers to the tantra of the meaning to be expressed, and the sacred words that make these appropriately the content to be expressed are the tantra of the expressing scripture. A section is a collection or category of that tantra. The Paramita Vehicle refers to the generation of bodhicitta, which is the basis for practicing any vehicle, and the practice of traversing through the six perfections, without any other paths such as the two stages. If one practices with bodhicitta and traverses through the six perfections, then the Vajrayana would also become that. The so-called Cause Vehicle refers to not meditating on a path that is similar in form to the four fruits mentioned earlier, but only meditating on their cause. The third part has two points: raising the point of doubt that arises in those with conceptual thought, and answering that doubt. The first point is: if the Great Vehicle is divided into two vehicles, through what means is this divided? It is not through the means of generating bodhicitta, because both the practice of bodhisattvas through mantra and the perfection of wisdom are equally aimed at attaining complete enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings. Therefore, one should strive to seek its meaning.
