It is about contemplating the syllable "va". By doing so, one will attain luminosity. The so-called "luminosity" is luminosity in terms of meaning. Upon attaining it, one will immediately attain the learning union. Therefore, the one who forcefully applies here is the one who, having attained the illusory body, engages in practice. This is because after attaining the learning union, one also engages in practice, so at this time, the signs of the qualities of mastery will appear, and as it is said, "supreme accomplishment," if it is not accomplished at that time, it should also be understood that this symbolizes forcefully subduing the deity. Because, as it is said, "When enlightenment is not achieved, it should be achieved through forceful means." This is the meaning of what is said. The conclusion of chapter fourteen. After the vajra sun sets, one should diligently engage in all practices. These four lines are explained by applying them to the two kinds of manifest enlightenment, outer and inner. The way the two kinds of enlightenment, outer and inner, are explained from the five stages is: The part of the night that appears, that is, the light, is the spreading of the rays of the sun, the spreading of appearance. The interval is the attainment of appearance, not once, but proceeding with one's own nature. Not night, not day, not interval, whatever is completely separated from nature and so on. That is the moment of enlightenment, the supreme guru speaks, the realm of the yogi himself. The end of the interval is the indestructible darkness, where all gatherings have passed away. As long as the sun has not risen, this moment is said to be the stainless, true end. The supreme teacher, free from dimness, shows the outer enlightenment to the disciple. Inner bliss, free from defilement, is attained through the moments of Buddha's enlightenment. Thus it is said. The last line of that indicates the inner manifest enlightenment, and the rest, dividing one day and night into four parts, combining them with the four emptinesses, indicates the outer manifest enlightenment. "The part of the night that appears" means that from the time when the thick darkness of the interval dissipates, until dawn has not yet arrived, when the moon rises in the clear night sky, it is established as appearance. "The light, the rays of the sun shining, the appearance spreading" means that in the clear night sky, from the time when the first rays of sunlight rise until sunset, it is established as the spreading of appearance. "The interval is the attainment of appearance" means that after the faint sunlight has also disappeared, until the thick darkness has not dissipated, the night sky covered by the darkness of the interval.

These are all established at the time of pervasiveness, which is the time of near attainment. In terms of their respective natures, it means that the three appearances are divided into three categories according to their respective natures of conceptualization. Not running in a one-time manner, but referring to the order in which all the conceptualizations repeatedly arise and dissolve from the three appearances. From "non-sign and separation" to "between," it is the separation from the conceptualizations of the three appearances and eighty natures. This is not the moment of manifest enlightenment, but is what the great teachers have declared, and it is the realm of the king of yogis. The moment when that is established is the end of the boundary, which is the moment when near attainment is established. In the old translation, there is the saying "indestructible." But in the new translation, as it says "completely exhausted in that," that moment and the moment when appearance is established, from the complete disappearance of the two collections of darkness, until the time when the first sunlight has not yet risen, this is said to be the true boundary of clear light, this external enlightenment is shown by the teacher to the disciple. The way of external manifest enlightenment as stated in the Compendium of Practice is that at the juncture of dawn, after the appearance of ignorance has passed, until the sun has not yet appeared bright, this is called the emptiness of all clear light. The meaning of what is said is that in the five stages, the two moments of the names of attainment and appearance have passed, and dawn is spoken of as being between the time when the sun has not yet risen. When the sun rises, appearance increases, and at the time of sunset it is ignorance, and when the moon rises it is appearance, it is said that it can be understood by relying on the combination with these five stages. When showing the inner manifest enlightenment, first, like a mirage, one sees a collection of five rays of light. The second is appearance, like the light of the moon. The third is the increase of appearance, like the light of the sun. The fourth is the attainment of appearance, like darkness. Then, in the moment of separation from darkness, there is clear light, which is very bright and has the characteristic of constant appearance. It is said to be the self-nature of the ultimate truth seen with the eye of wisdom. This should be studied, the first of the two external and internal enlightenments shown by the teacher to the disciple is: if one divides the external day and night into four parts and keeps the four emptinesses that are spoken of, then the fourth emptiness is the moment of enlightenment.
