Bodhisattvas, through the path of mantra and pāramitā, both equally embark on the path to attain complete and perfect enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings. Therefore, there is no distinction of superior or inferior in the Bodhi that is sought, and thus the two vehicles cannot be distinguished by this. Nor is it distinguished by the presence or absence of the view of realizing the true nature of all phenomena, because the intention of the definitive sūtras such as the Prajñāpāramitā, the venerable Nāgārjuna has determined in the treatises of Madhyamaka, there is no higher view than this. Even if there were, it could not be used to establish the existence of separate vehicles, just as there are Madhyamaka and Yogācāra in the Mahāyāna of Pāramitā, but there are no separate vehicles between the two. The practice of the six pāramitās, both vehicles have practice. Therefore, there is no difference between the means of accomplishing the two bodies and the main part of wisdom, although there are some differences in the path that are not present in the Pāramitā vehicle, but they are not the main differences of the path, so they cannot be determined as separate vehicles by these alone. Nor can it be determined as different vehicles merely because beings have sharp and dull faculties, and the path is traveled quickly or slowly, just as there are many differences in the Pāramitā vehicle, but there are no separate vehicles. Otherwise, would the mantra vehicle itself also need to establish many different vehicles? The second part is divided into two points: first, explaining the actual meaning, and second, quoting its source. The first point is: here, in the resultant vehicle to be practiced, there is no difference of superior or inferior between mantra and pāramitā, because what is to be obtained by both paths is also the Buddha who has eliminated all faults and perfected all qualities. Therefore, this is the difference of practicing the causal vehicle, and for the causal vehicle, there is no difference in the view of realization, the intention of bodhicitta, and the practice of studying the six pāramitās, so it cannot be distinguished by these. Then where should it be distinguished from? The main part of the meaning that both Mahāyāna clearly desire is benefiting others, not the Bodhi to be obtained by oneself, because the Buddha is also seen as a means of accomplishing the benefit of others and as a part of it.

It is for the sake of pursuing the benefit of others. As it is said in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "The mind of enlightenment is for the sake of others, and also desires the perfect Bodhi." It is said so because it is similar to the mind of enlightenment. The Buddhas who actually appear to those who are to be tamed and accomplish their benefit are the two forms of the Form Body, not the Dharma Body. Among them, the Dharma Body is accomplished by the wisdom of profound realization, and the Form Body is accomplished by vast means. Without wisdom separate from means, and means separate from wisdom, the two bodies cannot be accomplished. Therefore, means and wisdom must be inseparable. This is the common tenet of the Mahayana practitioners. If one does not realize the meaning of reality, one cannot exhaust all afflictions and cross the ocean of samsara. Therefore, the wisdom of profound realization is also common to the two lower noble ones. Therefore, the main characteristic of the Mahayana path is that in order to manifest the Form Body to those who are to be tamed and have the fortune, and to become the protector and refuge of sentient beings until samsara is empty, one should focus on this means. However, for the Paramita practitioners, although there is the practice of meditating on the reality of all phenomena, which is free from elaboration, and the practice of the path that is in accordance with the nature of the Dharma Body, there is no Form Body adorned with excellent marks and signs, and no practice of the path that is similar to its form, but the mantra vehicle has it. Therefore, in the means of accomplishing the Form Body for the benefit of others, there is a great difference in the nature of the path, and therefore there are two vehicles. In general, the Great and Small Vehicles are not distinguished by the wisdom of emptiness, but should be distinguished by means. In particular, the two divisions of the Great Vehicle are also not distinguished by the wisdom of profound realization, but should be distinguished by means, and the main aspect of means is the aspect of accomplishing the Form Body. And the means of accomplishing the Form Body is the deity yoga of meditating in a form similar to it, which is superior to the means of other vehicles. Secondly, in the first chapter of the Vajra Tent Tantra, it is said: "If emptiness is said to be the means, then the Buddha will not transform, because there is no different result from the cause, the means is not the nature of emptiness." And those who have wrong views, and those who cling to self.
