, and if it doesn't exist, then one must acknowledge that it doesn't exist. It is said in this way as well. Therefore, one might ask, is there a difference in entity, i.e., essence, other than what is merely imputed by the mind? Therefore, it is emptiness of essence. That is, the answer that there is no establishment by its own essence is also well connected. It is said that there is 'no dharma,' which means that things have no essence. If it is said that even if the subject of dharma is not true, but the dharmas are empty of truth, is there some dharma-nature that is truly existent? The answer is that there is no dharma-nature. As it is said in the Root Wisdom: 'If there is a non-empty, even a little, how could emptiness exist?' and 'Since the compounded is not ultimately established, how could the uncompounded be established?' As it is said. Because the reasoning that refutes the true establishment of the subject of dharma can well refute the true establishment of dharma-nature; and because it can refute the relationship of dependence and support in true establishment; and because if there is no relationship of support and dependence, it cannot be a subject of dharma and dharma-nature, these have been explained in detail elsewhere. Etc. What is said here refers to the fact that in the appearance of falling asleep and waking up, there is no difference between truth and falsehood, which is quoted from the Compendium of Practice. As it is said in the Vajra Garland Tantra, the first four aggregates, and the four elements such as earth, and the four sources of the realm, and the four faculties such as the eye, and so on, are the remainder of those. The appearance and arising that arise from that gathering are: the two consciousnesses. Those that are well gathered in this body are: the consciousnesses enter the object without autonomy and gradually gather. From there, the two also gather in the former and the latter, and then gradually dissolve, becoming the great emptiness, who will fall into a deep sleep? Oh! From entering emptiness through sleep, relying on the movement of the wind, one will definitely see a dream, that is, appear. Because one wants to obtain good results from a good dream, one completely clings to truth. In the appearance of falling asleep and the appearance of waking up, there is no distinction between truth and falsehood. No. All dharmas are like dreams. The difference between falsehood and truth also does not exist. No. This is what is said in the Compendium of Practice. Relying on these treatises of the Compendium of Practice, mixing sleep and dreams, as well as illusion, enjoyment body, and emanation body.

It is necessary to understand those special mixtures, which have already been explained in detail in the Five Stages Illuminated. Starting with "Then," etc., all Tathagatas refer to Akshobhya, etc. What is wonderful is the showing of dreams. What is amazing is the attainment of the fruits of dreams. The samaya of all the Tathagatas is the samadhi of Vajrasattva, and in order to cut off that doubt, one asks Vajrasattva. "What is this?" means to ask, meaning "these are very difficult." If you want to know what the difficulty is, it is that "all dharmas are without essence," which means that for dharmas that do not have an essence of substance, when showing their fruit, the suchness of dharma, that is, the suchness of the existence of obtaining the fruit, that is, the cause and effect are universally proclaimed without deception. Therefore, relying on the cause to produce the effect, making the cause the support and the effect the supported, meditating on the sky, that is, relying on the sky as the basis, making the sky the supported, then the arising one will transform as it is, as it is, and the wonderful arising is the showing of the wonderful. This is very difficult, if there is dependent origination that arises from dependence, then it will become existing by its own nature, and if the existence by its own nature is prevented, then all the actions of cause and effect will disappear, and therefore the correct view cannot be obtained. Therefore, realizing that there is no contradiction between these two is very wonderful, therefore, when seeking a view, grasp the key. The two that seemed contradictory as previously stated, merge without any contradiction, in order to clarify the intention of the Tathagatas. Saying this also has some things that can be explained, but saying "This is the intention of the Tathagatas" is very good, and it also agrees with the old translation. In order to clarify that this is the intention of the Tathagatas. Starting from "Then," etc., the Great Vajradhara said to the Tathagatas, "Bhagavan, all Tathagatas" is the address to the Tathagatas of the retinue. The uncreated sky is
