The rough conceptualization that recognizes the nature of having five aspects is conceptualization. To meticulously analyze the object of enjoyment of that conceptualization is to analyze the dwelling. These two are also the physical solitude cultivated in the subsequent attainment. Thus, having examined through conceptualization and analysis, one manifestly inclines towards entering suchness with bliss, and because of this manifest inclination, all appearances of objects become companions to the blazing bliss, and the experience of whatever is felt, characterized by mental bliss, is touching joy. Having manifestly entered suchness with bliss, the bliss of pliancy, characterized by the extreme pliancy of the body and so forth, and the extreme pliancy of the mind, is what is obtained, and that is gathered by bliss. The way to obtain joy and bliss in that manner is: first, by the power of meditating on the subtle points of the lower gate, one obtains great bliss. Then, having ascertained the meaning of suchness and meditated on it, one touches, i.e., obtains, a special mental bliss that realizes emptiness, and one obtains the bliss of the body and mind becoming extremely pliant through the realization of emptiness. Thus, because of pliancy, i.e., familiarity, one reaches the ultimate limit, therefore, knowing, i.e., the consciousness of the activity of the six senses such as the eye, and what is to be known, i.e., what arises from form and so forth up to the realm of phenomena, is the arising of the knower and the known. Its exhaustion is the grasping and grasper of the mind, the coarse duality that appears to be far away, is emptiness, devoid of others. Therefore, the mind of single-pointed concentration, characterized by the wisdom that reverses coarse duality, is called one's own mind. Such a mind is the essence of all Buddhas, i.e., it enters into the emptiness of self-nature and is pacified. "Merely appearance" refers to the nature of the three appearances, i.e., the three emptinesses. The word "merely" cuts off the existence of all conceptualizations at that time, it means pacification. Space is emptiness, therefore it is all four emptinesses. "Abiding completely therein" means that the three emptinesses gradually dissolve, and ultimately all emptiness becomes the sole ultimate. And all emptiness becomes one, through "པ་ཚབ་ཀྱིས།", it is appropriate to translate it as "that will become the sole ultimate of all emptiness." The ultimate will appear, this is the same as what was said before about reaching the ultimate limit. The second branch of
