For the sake of. To show the method of practicing the mandala of empowerment. Then, the Bhagavan and others spoke the sixteenth chapter. Furthermore, "having gathered" means not of the body. To request the explanation of the mandala, also with one mind, before the Bhagavan Great Vajradhara, with the words of the Vajra of body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, the body, speech, and mind of the Tathagatas residing in immeasurable worlds, the praise residing in the Vajra, all the Tathagatas peaceful, as described in the fourth chapter. Praying in such ways, and the teacher himself being present, that is, facing the manifestation, the offering cloud of Vajra jewels of all the Tathagatas: "Patsa," meaning the cloud of the realm of heavenly objects. Offering with the cloud that has become the heavenly realm. It is said to be with the intention of listening to the mandala ritual. It is said that there is a remainder, so remove it. Furthermore, all Vajras are the Tathagatas and so on. Their mandala is the body mandala, that is, the mandala of Vairochana. That very body mandala, because it destroys the beasts of affliction, is the king of the lion's vow. That body mandala makes special effort for the teacher, and the adornment produced by the effort, like the body mandala, that is, the Samadhi that is similar to it, means entering into equanimity. The Vajra body is Vairochana. His mandala is that Vairochana is the lord of the mandala. Of all the Buddhas, the needs of all practitioners are born from their own bodies and so on. Thereafter, it is a particle that completes the word. The body mandala is the mandala of Vairochana. The Victorious One is the effort of all siddhis. What is it like? It is said that the mind and so on are spoken. The mandala of the mind is very similar, that is, similar to the mandala of Akshobhya Buddha described in the fourth chapter. The mandalas are the best of all. Meaning the merit of the four corners and so on.

Therefore, among all mandalas of the action tantra and so on, this is the most excellent, meaning that it should be explained well and in detail. Secondly, "One cubit is sixteen fingers," which means to observe the sum of the four sides, and it should be known that each side is four cubits. The outer mandala is square, not round. The term "square" is used to approximate, and it also includes the four gates and so on. The most beautiful is with immaculate colors. How is it? Like the mandala of all Buddhas, meaning praised by all Tathagatas. The Vajra of Body, Abides in the Supreme Position. Among them, the Vajra of Body is Vairochana, who abides in the supreme position and is personally adorned by the main deity. The meaning of that is, inside the square mandala, the wheel, that is, do not make an inner mandala that is round and adorned with a garland of wheels. How should it be done? It should be drawn with the Vajra ritual, as it is said. The ritual is the mandala drawing line ritual mentioned in the Compendium of All Truths. That itself is Vajra, as firm as Vajra, whoever knows this should draw it. After drawing the mandala in this way, mantra:pātsab:mantras, etc., are most excellent for purification in the center. The mudra becomes the position of Vajra, and Vairochana abides. Thus it appears. All, that is, the secret not shown to non-vessels, that is, the body of the deity. In the middle of them, Vairochana abides. Among them, the mudra is the eye. That itself is indivisible bliss and emptiness, and should be made into the position of Vajra, that is, it should be made into the image of Vairochana Buddha with one's own mudra and the eye-mother. When Vairochana is made the main deity, Akshobhya and others should also be drawn in the eastern and other directions, and should be drawn alone without a mother. Body, speech, and mind are the supreme Vajra, which refers to the eye and so on. All the corners should be established, that is, the southeast and other corners should each be placed in their respective positions, meaning that since the eye-mother has gone to the center, the Touching Vajra Mother should not be drawn there. Wrathful deity:pātsab:wrathful deity.

Etc., and the mighty ones. Draw the external harms on the door. This is in accordance with the explanation. These refer to Yama, etc., those who cannot be overcome by others, Hayagriva, and the combination of nectar and furnace. These should be placed at the four gates. "Mighty, suppressing enemies" refers to Achala, etc., which should be drawn in all the corners. Images of Vajra and Maitreya, etc., should also be placed according to their respective positions. Next, the one who knows mantras is the Acharya, who diligently practices the Vajra secret. This means that offerings of the union of Vajra and Padma should be actually brought near the mandala. In the center of the mandala, with one's own mudra, this is the ritual. "Of all mantras" refers to the practitioners. The samaya is that which abides in the Anuttarayoga Tantra. What is extremely difficult to transgress is the secret offering, which should not be exceeded. Excrement and urine, etc., refer to the five nectars. In particular, in this body mandala, one of them must be offered to the deity and also consumed by oneself. Thus, consuming the five nectars is the body Vajra, corresponding to the body mandala. Of all mantras, it is the samaya of all practitioners, which must not be transgressed. The body is the body Vajra, and consuming it increases it, praising the five nectars. It is said in the sutras that for this lineage, this samaya must not be transgressed. This is the body mandala that all Tathagatas manifestly rejoice in. Then, etc., the great Vajradhara proclaimed the ritual of the speech mandala. The samaya of all speech Vajras is that of the Amitabha mandala. Their clouds are the assembly. Its arrangement is to place it correctly as it is in its place, abiding in the samadhi called "that." The speech Vajra mandala refers to the collection of words of that meaning. Taken from one's own body, etc., this refers to that. The meaning of "then," etc., has already been explained. Next, the length of one cubit should be the measure of twenty fingers.
