In order to explain the mandala of the common secret empowerment of the two mother yogis, it is said, "A hundred yojanas," and so on. Since each side has twenty-five yojanas, it is said to be about the extent of a hundred yojanas. The word "wheel" indicates that the wheel is considered to be Vairocana himself, so his mandala is the mandala of the wheel. "The one who meditates" means to generate, the mandala of meditative concentration generated by the mind, or to draw with pigments, etc., that is, to generate the mandala in the mind on what is drawn. "Square" and so on, what is said below should also be applied here. "The extremely skilled one always" and so on, means that when placing the marks in the mandala, because of carefulness, at all times. The families are the families of Akshobhya and so on. Since this is the mandala with Vairocana as the main one, Akshobhya is placed in the east, and Ratnasambhava and so on are placed in the southern and other directions. Also, just as the word "mandala of the wheel" indicates the mandala of Vairocana, the lotus is the mandala of Amitabha. The vajra mandala is the mandala of Akshobhya. The sword mandala is the mandala of Amoghasiddhi. "Utpala" means jewel, and "ta" does not contradict the meaning of combination. That is, utpala is a stone of the jewel class, and adding the letter ta to it is to conform to the meaning of combination. This is in accordance with the phonetic change, and the wise ones also say so. Therefore, the wise should contemplate and know that utpala is the mandala of Ratnasambhava. Also, from yojana to the extent of a koṭi of yojanas, the mandala should be made according to what is desired and pleasing. Because it is similar to a stupa, it is a stupa, that is, a mandala. Because it is a mandala of the nature of four jewels, it is four jewels. Clear like crystal, this completely takes the color white. "Self-nature without impurity" is the suchness nature of the mandala explained in the fourth chapter.

It is for this reason. The lineages, that is, the place and basis of the five lineages, the "place" here refers to the place where one meditates as the place. To become wise, that is, for the sake of offering by the yogi who knows the secret empowerment, one should meditate for the sake of the secret empowerment, up to this point. From "one hundred yojanas" to "meditate as the place," it has been explained in detail before that one should smear the ground and make a mandala. The mandala is also shown through meditation. Therefore, before performing the activities of the lama, that is, before the empowerment, after showing the activities of making two mandalas, in order to show what the disciple who wants to receive the secret empowerment should do for the deity and the lama, the "objects of desire" and so on are taught. The five objects of desire are the five objects such as form. With these five objects of desire, to that, that is, The deities who rely on the support mandala, and the offering to the lama is like an ocean, that is, one should begin to create various oceans of offerings, that is, one should begin to engage in the activity of creation. In order to elaborate on these five objects of desire, the "jewel" and so on are taught. The jewel refers to the seven jewels such as padmaraga. Clothing refers to silk, and here "Daqin" is also translated as "silk of Kashi." Etc., starting from showing the object of the eye sense, the word "etc." indicates the objects of the remaining four senses such as the ear sense, that is, beautiful sounds, fragrant smells, delicious tastes, and soft touches. If you ask, what is the need for offering with these? Because one desires enlightenment, that is, enlightenment is achieved by washing away all defilements and generating wisdom, that is, secret empowerment. Desiring that empowerment, that is, wanting to obtain it, one should make offerings. "Constantly" means that from the beginning of the empowerment until it is completely completed, one should offer and please them every day. The five offerings are flowers and so on. Because one offers with those, they are the five offerings. The best of those refers to the most outstanding among them. One should always please the deities and the lama. Therefore, after showing the common offering of the deities and the lama
