It is not permissible to hold the meaning of emptiness and selflessness as truly existent, but it is absolutely not the intention to show that one should not even grasp it as "there is no inherent existence." If it is not permissible to grasp non-inherent existence, then it is necessary to negate that all phenomena are without inherent existence. If that is negated, it will become established by inherent existence, as it is said in the refutation: "If non-inherent existence is reversed, then inherent existence will be established." Therefore, in short, if one negates grasping at non-inherent existence from the ultimate point of view, then negating it because one does not want to is meaningless. Moreover, in conventional terms, if one says that because one cannot ascertain non-inherent existence and selflessness with intelligence, one does not grasp at them, then one must believe that it is impossible to realize suchness, and therefore one must slander liberation and all omniscience. Such a wrong conception is due to not understanding what the object to be refuted by the Madhyamaka arguments is, and believing that all ways of grasping are grasping at truth. The refutation of this has already been explained in detail elsewhere. Therefore, a wise person, even in Vajrayana, should measure the view of the two selflessnesses through hearing and thinking, just like the Madhyamaka treatises, and after gaining an unerring view, should continuously cultivate a definite understanding of the meaning of non-inherent existence. Definite understanding and superimposition are mutually harmful, and not grasping at selflessness is because one does not put one's mind on selflessness, so it does not harm the grasping at self in any way. Considering this, (the scriptures say): From the unwavering conceptualization, the bodhicitta is stabilized, therefore the accomplishment of mantra is proclaimed. Otherwise, all actions of the mantra accomplishment ritual are without result. In short, by contemplating the non-inherent existence of all things, one will definitely attain bodhicitta, otherwise it will not change. Thus it is said, this is quoted below. The third is conduct, which is to skillfully practice with skillful means on the basis of fully understanding the nature of desirable qualities. Just that much is present even from the first mantra practitioner, but here it is a special practice that enhances the two stages, namely the three practices of with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration. These three are also done at the end of the first stage being stable, as it is said in the Lamp Illuminating:

Because it is said, "Yogis who are accustomed to and proficient in the three conducts, such as dwelling in what has and does not have, etc." This means that if one practices the great common siddhis, then the lamas say that this is practiced in the first stage. If it is the supreme practice, then it is practiced in the stage of the completion stage, and it is also practiced after obtaining mental solitude, and after obtaining the illusory body, and after obtaining the union of learning, there are views that there are these three situations. Among them, having (conduct): In a special place, together with twenty vidyas, with hand mudras, song offerings, and dances, enjoying day and night, thereby practicing the state of Mahamudra, King Indrabhuti achieved Mahamudra by relying on this, which is what is said in the Compendium of Practices. Not having (conduct): Relying on five vidyas or even one, relying on them to transform desire into the path, thereby practicing the siddhi of Mahamudra. Extremely not having (conduct): Meditating together with the wisdom mudra located in the heart, thereby perfecting the state of Mahamudra. These three are: Practicing through the means of wisdom, resources, and age, such as six months, etc., continuously, first achieving the qualities of freedom, and then achieving the siddhi of Mahamudra, which is what is said in the Compendium of Practices. Like this, the differences of small, medium, and large, and the three conducts that are appropriate to age, if practiced for half a month or a month or six months, then the signs of obtaining the siddhi of Mahamudra will appear. The signs are these: the body becomes subtle, the touch is light, pervasive, truly obtained, extremely manifest, stable, free, and changing at will. This is what the scriptures say. If one wants to practice the supreme accomplishment in this life, then it is necessary to accelerate the path through any of these three, as the scriptures say. Details can be found in the Compendium of Practices. Fourth, like this, if all the paths of Anuttarayoga are summarized according to the order in which the disciples obtain the fruit, they can be summarized into three: the supreme enlightenment in this life, and the intermediate...
