When the appearance of correct wisdom arises from definitely examining with the eye of wisdom, all phenomena are not seen. Therefore, those yogis who abide in all conduct, even though they see all phenomena, are without seeing. Only this kind of not seeing should be manifestly contemplated, not like those who are asleep or have their eyes closed, who do not bring anything to mind. It is certain that only when one is free from the seed of doubt should attachment to form and so forth be eliminated, like removing a thorn. Thus, it is necessary to establish it in the meaning where no phenomena of elaboration are found after examining with discriminating wisdom, and merely non-conceptualization that gathers the mind is not the meditation of suchness. And reversing the fault of the mind is not like removing an external thorn, because by grasping the opposite of the clinging to non-existence, imputation and doubt must be reversed. In the Stages of Meditation, there is no difference from what Kamalaśīla said. Therefore, for the disciples of mantra and the disciples of the vehicle of pāramitā, the cause of being bound in saṃsāra is not different, and the main factor that binds, self-grasping, must also be reversed by means of grasping the opposite, selflessness. The King of Reasoning said: Without refuting this object, one is not able to abandon it. Abandoning desire and hatred, etc., which are related to qualities, faults, and consequences, is not by external means, because they are not seen in those objects. And Āryadeva said: If selflessness is seen in the object, the seed of existence will be stopped. It has been said. So, in the Union: Emptiness should not be meditated upon, non-emptiness should not be meditated upon. The yogi should not abandon emptiness, non-emptiness should not be completely abandoned. Upon grasping emptiness and non-emptiness, not a little, conceptualization will arise. And in the Bodhicitta Explanation: Unborn and emptiness and emptiness in what is called self. Whoever meditates on himself as inferior is not meditating. Thus, how is it that it is said not to grasp either emptiness or non-emptiness? There is no fault, the former statement is a prohibition against meditating on both annihilation emptiness, which is not even established conventionally, and eternalism, which is non-empty ultimately, not emptiness devoid of inherent existence.

This does not mean that it should not be grasped at any time. Because in the same text, it says, "The realm of phenomena is extremely equal, grasp it completely like a water tree." Therefore, it is said that it should be grasped as without essence or without inherent existence. And in its commentary, it also says, "Like a water tree, it means that because there is no inherent existence in the ultimate truth that is fabricated by ignorance, it should be realized as without essence, but it is not that it does not exist in the conventional truth either. Why? Because the realm of phenomena and the self-nature of equality and sameness in the absence of self-nature, such as form, etc., their distinct characteristics are not substantial. Those that are not equal are also, because they are separately distinct in the conventional truth. Therefore, the meditation on emptiness and non-emptiness is prohibited because it does not possess the self-nature of annihilation and permanence. " Because it is said. When the meditation on the two extremes of permanence and annihilation, which do not exist in the conventional truth and exist in the ultimate truth, is prohibited, then the emptiness of selflessness in the ultimate truth and the non-emptiness of form, etc., which exist in name, are not abandoned. As it is said in Man Nye, "The selflessness in the ultimate truth is only the nature of form, etc., which exists in the conventional truth, so it is not reasonable to abandon the self-nature of emptiness and non-emptiness." It is said that grasping emptiness and non-emptiness will generate many conceptual thoughts, because it is a conceptual thought that holds onto the extremes of permanence and annihilation, so it does not act on all conceptual thoughts. If it is not like that, if you speak only relying on the words 'do not meditate on emptiness', then it will contradict the many meditations on emptiness that are spoken of in that tantra and other tantras, and it will also contradict the fact that in the highest stage of the completion stage, many conceptual expansions and contractions are made through the two meditations, and thus entering into luminosity, as said by many such as Lord Nagarjuna. Because according to you, all the meditations of individual discrimination are obstacles to manifesting luminosity. The meaning of the second quote is, in the Praise of the Transcendent, it says, "In order to eliminate all conceptual thoughts, you showed the nectar of emptiness, whoever clings to it, you will greatly condemn it." It's like that.
