It is evident in those contents described in the concise practices of how to properly establish the abode, etc. It is said that one wishes to apply a drop of scented water to what is said to be done by the hero Vajra. The general tantra speaks of three aspects: the deity's form, hand implements, seat, and the manner of establishing the abode. If the deity's limbs are drawn completely, it will take a long time, and if the limbs are deficient, they will not be blessed. Therefore, drawing the hand implements is praised, and it seems that many mandala rituals also depict them. After drawing in this way, carefully examine whether there are any errors. Those that are found should be corrected. The general tantra says: After drawing the mandala completely, settle the mind well, and then examine it many times. If one out of a hundred is not good, then it should be corrected again. From the beginning of drawing the mandala, it is not permissible to leave it empty without having received empowerment. The general tantra says: When performing ablutions and so on, place another visible mandala. But when drawing the mandala, never leave it empty. Thus it is said. Then, knowing that the drawn mandala has become clear in every way, anoint the outer surface of the mandala with scented water containing the five nectars, reciting (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), and cleanse the wheel with water that has been recited. Invoke the wisdom colors by reciting (Tibetan: ༀ་ཨཱཿ ཧཱུཾ་བཛྲ་མུཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ आः हुं वज्र मुः, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ āḥ hūṃ vajra muḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Ah Hum Vajra Muh), and place the earth colors that are in the container in a secluded place. Although offerings to the colors are not mentioned here, they should be done as described for the scented water. As the Victorious Good One has said, wiping away the scattered colors with cloth, etc., should be done before anointing the mandala with scented water. The third is, when drawing the mandala, etc., there may be harm from obstacles such as floods, wind, and clouds, caused by gods or lower beings. At that time, if one can find a way to eliminate each harm, do so accordingly. If not, visualize the Vajra's horn tent and the net of arrows, and the ten wrathful ones who are blessed by the extremely terrifying ones, who dwell in the emptiness within the canopy, firmly abiding at the tips of the spokes, as the form of a palace in the center of the ten-spoked wheel, yellow, rotating clockwise, making the mandala's house instantly very stable. Based on the nature of Vajra.

Also contemplate on averting all obstacles through fire and the like. For other objects to be protected, it is sufficient to offer by scattering offerings. The second part has two points: placing the vases and decorating the mandala. The first point is: Then, the vases that have been blessed earlier should be placed clockwise on the mandala. At this time, guided by incense, circumambulate the mandala three times with various musical instruments and then place them. This is stated in the ritual of the Hevajra Tantra. Prajñārakṣita said: Vases, offerings, etc., umbrellas and victory banners, musical instruments, etc., invite with cymbals and songs, and place them in the mandala's position. This is consistent with what was said. The location for placing is: The garland and Vibhūti say to place it on the outside of the fire heap, while Ratnarakṣita says that if there is a cemetery, it should be placed on the outside of the cemetery. Dārikapa said: On the outside of the vajra stake, it will become an obstacle maker, so do not place it. This is inconsistent with the previous statement. Regarding the method of placing, the garland explains the method of placing the vases of Manjushri Vajra and Akshobhya Vajra, and believes that through these, it is easy to understand the method of placing other vases. According to his method: For Manjushri Vajra, place the main vase slightly to the right of the position directly in front of the east gate. On the left side of the gate, clockwise, are Vairochana, Buddha Eye Mother, and the Karma Vase. Here, left and right are based on facing inward. To the right of the main vase are Rupa Vajra Mother, Dharmadhatu Vajra Mother, and the vase of Yamantaka. To the left of the south gate are Ratnasambhava and Mamaki, and to the right are Shabda Vajra Mother and Jnana End Mother. To the left of the west gate are Amitabha and White-clad Mother, and to the right are Gandha Vajra Mother and Padma End Mother. To the left of the north gate are Amoghasiddhi and Tara, and to the right are Rasa Vajra Mother, Sparsha Vajra Mother, and Obstacle End Mother. For Akshobhya Vajra, immediately after the four mothers of the respective family in each direction, and to the right, also place the vases of the two bodhisattvas of the direction first, except for the main deity, and place the vases of the four wrathful deities in the four corners, and immediately next to the vases of the wrathful deities of the east and west, place the vases of the upper and lower directions. This is the method of applying to place other vases.
