If you dig downwards, you will die yourself, or you will move from your own place, and your property will be lost. In the end, elephants, horses, buffaloes, and cows will also die, and their strength will also decline. If there are trees and hair in the five dug places, ant nests, hair, nails, and ashes will cause harm. Using a sickle will bring the fear of wind, using charcoal will bring plague, and using bones will bring stinging pain. So it is said. Regarding the statement that the appearance of trees, etc., in the five dug places will cause harm, it refers to the fault of not clearing them, not just their existence. As stated earlier in the rosary, it also refers to the land dug after examining the abdomen, and Vibhūti also said: After that, clear away stones, etc., and fill the pit with that land itself, or if it is not enough, with other land, also moistened with fragrant water. It is said that it should be done after clearing those thorns of the land, and no method has been mentioned for moving from that place or reversing inauspicious signs. Daylight Source also said: If those thorns are not cleared, they will cause faults. It also said: Clearing the thorns well will eliminate all defilements. This is because it is said about the land dug after examining the abdomen. Prajñārakṣita separately explained digging for the purpose of accomplishment and digging after examining the earth lords. The rosary and Ratnarakṣita combined the two into one, which is considering the occasion of the mandala, and other than that, on the occasion of digging after examining the earth lords, there is no need for the methods of digging for the sake of the three accomplishments. Secondly, after that, sprinkle that land with mustard water and ashes recited with all actions, and smear it with five kinds of cow's milk recited with that, starting from the east, and also sprinkle with fragrant water. Doing in the sky with Oṃ Bhu Khaṃ is, as said in the section on empowerment of Hevajra, meditating on emptiness. Thinking of the earth as the nature of Vajra with Hūṃ Laṃ Hūṃ, Oṃ Āḥ Laṃ Hūṃ appears from Vajra Dakini. Then, reciting Oṃ Medini Vajri Bhava Vajra Bandha Hūṃ. Oṃ Hana Hana Vajra Krodha Hūṃ Phaṭ. Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Śodhāya Śodhāya Rakṣa Rakṣa Hūṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ, touching with the hands and blessing it, binding the earth into the nature of Vajra and making it stable, and Vajra Wrath destroying obstacles, and the three Vajras eliminating faults.

It is thought to be practiced and protected. In Vajra Dakini and Tent Dharma, the first of the three mantras is slightly different from this, and the second is: On the four seats, visualize the right hand as a vajra, and strike the ground after stretching it, which is said to be for purification. Then, bring down the earth goddess who was previously raised into the sky, offer offerings and tormas, merge them into the earth, make a lotus seat, and recite the three syllables and the hundred-syllable mantra, which is the earth goddess blessing the earth. The third is: Visualize all kinds of dharmas as one with emptiness, and visualize the nature of suchness as extremely pure. In the Manifestation of Enlightenment, it is said: The mantra holder dwells in conceptualization, if one abandons the earth, the bodhicitta will be completely abandoned, and the lord of secrets will not be pacified. Therefore, after completely abandoning conceptualization, one should completely purify all the earth. Nagarjuna also said this, so purifying the earth is very important. Then, as stated from the position of the line, determine the direction, and on that land, according to the desired size, build a square, four-doored mandala house with four stables, covered by a net-like environment, and the position of the mandala should be included in it, as stated in the Garland Treatise. In Vajra Dakini, it is also said: On such purified land, build a mandala house that matches the mandala, four times the size of jewels, etc. Therefore, most of the previously mentioned land rituals are performed in the manner of building a separate mandala house. The fourth has three aspects: doing deity yoga, praying and raising the mandala; standing up, generating pride, and issuing commands to obstacles; and gestures and steps with special purposes. The first is: Then sit in the center of the mandala land, spread with flowers, and hold the vajra and bell as previously described. Fully visualize the mandala yoga to be questioned, and the wheel of protection, thereby dispelling obstacles. From the syllable Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) on the tongue, transform into a vajra, and hold the skull cup with the right hand, reciting: Those who dwell in all directions without remainder, may the Buddhas think of me, I, with a certain vajra, in this mandala.
