Thus it was said. The order is as follows: as explained in the mantras, one should possess the key points of the body, and without allowing other thoughts to arise, one should meditate successively on the forms of the deities. First, one should take pride in the clarity of oneself as the deity. Then, the air that comes and goes from the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, navel, male and female organs, as well as the impure orifices, hair, and pores, is life. Effort is the thought of remembering other objects and being distracted by them. Therefore, bind these two together, and in this way, breathing in, breathing out, and holding the breath, with the force of drawing the air upwards, like a turtle retracting its limbs and like a tongue drinking water, all the breath in the body circulates, and the mind that is not evenly placed, which wanders wildly from the source of enemies, is all gathered inward. Even so, just as a person in a cave looks outward, the eyes are half-closed, the face is slightly raised, and one focuses on the clear body of the deity and remains single-mindedly in equanimity. The meaning of life and effort is thus established by the previously cited Ornament for Clear Realization. Alternatively, life is the same as before, and effort is the cessation of coming and going, cutting off the flow. Such a method should be grasped with whatever strength one has. If one cannot, then release it slowly, relax, look at the clear deity, and then act as before. The method of resting when tired from meditation will be explained later. Here, for the clear appearance of the deity's body, it is necessary to generate samadhi in which the mind remains for a long time. Because the horse of the mind is wind, it is said in the commentary on the Later Contemplation that one holds the wind because one considers that by grasping the wind, it is easy to focus the mind on a single object. The mind is like a king, surrounded by a retinue of memory, samadhi, and attention, and is considered to be riding on the horse of life. Therefore, by grasping the horse of life, the king of the mind and his retinue will surely be grasped. Thus, it is also said in other texts: Stopping the life-breath, because it is stopped, the mind of the self, including memory, intelligence, and attention, will surely be grasped. Thus it is said. Contemplation also requires binding, but that is directed towards many objects, while samadhi is directed towards one object.

Just as it is necessary to tie up the entrance, because it is not needed there, so after tying it, abide in samadhi, which is said in samadhi, not in contemplation. How far should this be done? Just as it was quoted earlier as the reason for the Vajrapani empowerment, in all activities, one must obtain the ability of the clear appearance of the deity and the pride of the deity to prevent the ordinary pride. Therefore, it is not enough to just have the appearance of the deity's body appear in the mind, it is necessary to stabilize the pride and hold on to it, both of which are needed, these cannot be explained in detail, and will be explained in the chapter on the generation stage. In Anuttarayoga, after stabilizing the deity yoga, the wind yoga of holding the breath is taught, but here it is said to be done at the same time as holding the deity's body in the mind. Although these were not taught by the teacher Bodhicitta, it is said that they were taught as the teacher Buddha Guhya clearly explained the meaning of the tantra, which seems very important. The combination of wind and holding the deity's body in the mind is done at the time of the six deities, and if it is like inviting the wisdom deity and making offerings and praises etc. before, it is comfortable. If inviting the wisdom deity etc. afterwards, it is not comfortable. Therefore, if it is the time of initial practice, it should be done according to the order of Buddha Guhya, and if the recitation has been completed before, then at the time of empowerment and the ablution ceremony based on the vase, and the accomplishment of one's own and others' purposes, etc., it seems that either order can be used. If there is no self-generation afterwards, even if there are offerings and praises, it should be done as the teachers who made the practice methods of Kriya and Charya tantras did. If done before, then it is okay to do both self and front at the same time without being separately accomplished. At the time of self-generation, other teachers say to fully contemplate the deities of their respective situations, but like these two teachers, at the time of self-generation at the time of initial recitation, one main deity of each family is sufficient, and if the recitation has been completed before, then at the time of accomplishing one's own and others' benefits, at the time of self-generation, it would be good to do all the deities that are taught completely. Inviting the wisdom deity, empowering and blessing, etc., as taught by other teachers.
