Just as the appearance of the previous part of the sequence of letters, when the appearance of the latter part also appears clearly, the mind remains stable. Secondly, in this way, holding the mind from the deity's body to the place of sound, by the power of wind yoga and fire contemplation that block the life force, and by focusing the mind one-pointedly on many subtle and gross objects such as the deity's body. As stated in the "Good Arm Question Sutra," the state of dwelling is extremely stable, and special joy and happiness arise in body and mind, and the suppleness of body and mind arises. In particular, by meditating on wind yoga and fire contemplation for a long time, bliss and warmth arise, and based on that, a powerful samadhi of bliss and clarity without conceptualization arises, but these are not called the completion stage, and the path to cut off the root of existence, self-grasping, has not yet been found, so the place of sound should also be abandoned, and emptiness meditation that gives the edge of sound should be practiced. How to meditate, not much is said here, because it has already been said in the context of meditating on the nature of self, so what was said earlier should be taken and said here. As said before, refute the self of person and the self of phenomena with scripture and reasoning. One should first seek the view of the Middle Way that realizes that all phenomena are not established in the ultimate sense, because if one does not find it, there is no meaning in meditating on emptiness with just non-conceptualization. When that is found, the way to meditate is, as the tantra says: "Immovable, clear." Therefore, one must meditate with two distinctions, if one analyzes too much with the view of no-self, excitement arises and causes movement, so after generating certainty about the meaning of no-self, even if one focuses on that certainty one-pointedly, one should not analyze too much. In this way, if one practices calm abiding meditation, if one dwells too much, one does not want to separate the dharmas, and if one scatters outward, one does not listen to scattering and goes on without conceptualization, then calm abiding is heavier, so calm abiding and insight are not balanced, and if one dwells too much, it leads to dullness or sinking and drowsiness, and it turns into those, just as if one analyzes too much, insight is heavier, then the result is like excitement arising. Therefore, one should practice both the analysis of cultivating the ability of discriminating wisdom and one-pointedly dwelling, as the commentary says: "Now, my suchness wisdom of
