It itself is the ground, and the path of impermanence, etc., should be regarded as the means of generating it, as the path of training the continuum. Other teachers also consider the path of emptiness and selflessness as the path of liberation, and the practice of the remaining aspects of impermanence, etc., as the training of the continuum that enters into the meaning of realizing selflessness. However, in the case of the sixteen aspects, the realization of emptiness and selflessness is the determination that only the self imputed by the outsiders does not exist, so it cannot be the antidote to the innate self-grasping that grasps the self-established nature of the individual. Therefore, all sixteen paths of impermanence, etc., are equally only for training the continuum, not the path of liberation. In this way, the inferior vehicle that is temporarily suitable as a vessel for the path of training the continuum, but not suitable as a vessel for the path of liberation, and that is suitable as a vessel, is the dullness and sharpness of the faculties. Because the main object to be tamed or the object to be done for which the inferior vehicle's pitaka is taught is the latter, and the former is the incidental object to be tamed. Although the inferior vehicle has the realization that phenomena are without self-nature, it will not become indistinguishable from the great vehicle, because the great vehicle's teachings not only clarify the selflessness of phenomena, but also teach the ground, the perfections, the aspirations, great compassion, etc., as well as the nature of inconceivable phenomena that are purified by dedication, the two accumulations, and all defilements. As it is also said in the Ratnavali: "From the Hearer Vehicle, the aspiration of the Bodhisattva, the practice of universal dedication, is not taught, how can it become the fruit of the Bodhisattva? Abiding in the practice of Bodhi, it is not taught in the Sutras, it is taught in the Great Vehicle, therefore the wise should take it." Therefore, the great and small vehicles are not distinguished by view, but by the skillful means of practice, as the noble father and son think. Just as the mother is the common cause of the children, and the father is the cause of distinguishing their respective lineages, the mother Prajnaparamita is the common cause of the four sons, and the cause of distinguishing their respective lineages of the great and small vehicles is the means of methods such as the generation of bodhicitta. Secondly, wishing to attain unsurpassed enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings, and practicing
