ye. Those who have not perfected the mind of enlightenment They should not be introduced. They should not be introduced into the mandala. Hand seals and mantras should be shown to them. It is said that the mind of enlightenment should be perfected before empowerment. Therefore, one should first train in the mind of aspiration and then enter. The order of this is that one should first rely on a qualified Mahayana spiritual friend with thought and action. He should also explain the importance and rarity of leisure and endowment, and when one has trained the mind and developed a great desire to take the essence of leisure and endowment, the best way to take the essence is to enter the Mahayana, and the entrance to that is the mind of enlightenment. If there is a true one in the mind, then that Mahayana practitioner will not be artificial. If it is only words, then the Mahayana practitioner will also become only words. Therefore, the wise should gradually eliminate the opposing aspects of that mind and generate a complete characteristic. Also, if one does not turn away from this life, it will be an obstacle to the path of both the great and small vehicles. Therefore, one should remember death, which does not remain in this life, and contemplate the ways in which one wanders in the lower realms after death, and turn away from this life. Then, one should also turn away from the mind that craves the prosperity of the next world by contemplating the faults of all samsara, and turn the mind towards liberation. After that, in order to turn away from the mind that is at peace with oneself, one should train in love, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment, which is the root of these, and train in the mind of enlightenment that is not artificial. Then, one should know the actions of the Bodhisattva, generate the desire to learn, and be able to take on the burden of the actions of the sons of the Victorious Ones. Then, one should take the vows of the Bodhisattva and train in its precepts. Then, if one is able to take on the burden of the vows and precepts of the Vajrayana, one should listen to the Fifty Verses on the Guru, purify the way of relying on the Guru, and then enter the mantra. From the Fifty Verses on the Guru: A disciple with a pure mind has gone for refuge to the Three Jewels. This following of the Guru should be given as a recitation.

Through the blessings of mantras and the like, one becomes a vessel for the sacred Dharma. Such pure thought, namely cultivating the mind of Bodhicitta and possessing uncommon refuge, is what is spoken of in the "Fifty Verses on the Guru." After bestowing the "Fifty Verses on the Guru," it is said that one should be made a vessel through empowerment. In "Clarifying Union," it also says: "For this, the order is as follows: On an auspicious day with favorable stars, the student, with palms joined, should confess all sins and take the three refuges. Bodhicitta should be well cultivated, along with the vows of a lay follower. The vows of a Bodhisattva, and then also take the Uposatha. The corresponding order of this, one should rely on the Vajra Master in a very pure manner, but here, due to the abundance of texts, it is not written for fear. Having done so, to the Guru, request, 'Please grant me empowerment.'" Thus, it is said that before empowerment, one should take the vows of individual liberation and the generation of Bodhicitta, and then petition the Guru for the sake of empowerment. The vows of a lay follower and their Uposatha are for householders, but a renunciate entering mantra must fully purify the vows of a novice monk, etc. In the first chapter of the "Compendium of Practices," it also says that one must learn in stages, not all at once, and after establishing that. The order is also this: first, one should learn the thought of the Buddha's vehicle. When one becomes accustomed to the thought of the Buddha's vehicle, then one should learn the new vehicle, namely the Samadhi of one-pointed mindfulness. Thus, it is said that after first learning the Buddha's vehicle, one must learn the new vehicle, namely mantra. The thought of the Buddha's vehicle is the aspiring and engaging mind of Bodhicitta. Having generated the aspiring and engaging mind of Bodhicitta, one must possess the six practices, not covering it up from the Paramitas, but learning those paths from mantra itself, because it is repeatedly said, it is a common path arising from the Vajrayana itself. These have been extensively explained in the stages of the common vehicle's path, so I will not elaborate. Here it is said, Without immaculate reason, not distinguishing the tenets of self and others, Not discerning the difference between good and bad, The Great Vehicle

The small mantra and the Paramita, the common and the uncommon, if the main differences are not distinguished as they are, then saying that the general teachings and the Mahayana, especially the Vajrayana for the fortunate ones, have an excellent entry is just faith. Therefore, alas! alas! those with wisdom and desire, sharpen the eye of wisdom with pure reason, and seek the firm conviction on the key points of the teachings that cannot be shaken by external debaters. From the stages of the path of the Great Vajradhara, a detailed distinction is made of the key points of all secrets, among which, the different stages of entering the teachings, in general, are the teachings, which is the first chapter. The uncommon Vajrayana path has three stages: the path of the Kriya Tantra, the path of the Yoga Tantra, and the path of the Anuttarayoga Tantra. The first has two: an analysis of whether self-generation and other-generation wisdom deities exist in Kriya and Carya, and a separate explanation of the stages of the Kriya and Carya paths. The first has two: listing the views of the teachers, and explaining the reasonable aspects among them. The first is: Most of the old Tibetan lamas say that in the Kriya Tantra, there is the practice of visualizing the deity in front, but there is no self-generation; in the Carya Tantra, one generates oneself as the Samaya deity and generates the wisdom deity in front, but other than that, the wisdom deity does not enter oneself, because the Sarvasamgraha Vajrayoga Tantra says: "Imagining in a fearful place and being extremely pure, without the supreme bliss of the wisdom being, without the pride of being a deity oneself and not being a wonderful field of action, practicing with the cause of faults, one abides in the Kriya Tantra." Because the sutra says that there is no self-generation and no wisdom deity entering the body in the Kriya Tantra, and in the Abhisambodhi and Vajrapani Abhisheka Tantras, it is said that one generates oneself as the deity, but it is not said that the wisdom deity enters the body. The commentary of Krshnari, the Sahajasambhava, says: In the tradition of Kriya and Carya, the object to be accomplished and the means of accomplishment do not follow for a long time, because those are produced from discrimination, and there, like this, one perfects the accomplishment of siddhis by relying on the power of the deities belonging to cloth paintings and so on.
