If one realizes that the holy Dharma, the nature of dependent origination, is without arising or ceasing, then one will be liberated from samsara. Therefore, the path to liberation is the realization that persons and phenomena are without inherent existence, while the path of impermanence, etc., is a means of generating it, a path of taming the continuum. Other teachers also believe that the path of emptiness and selflessness is the path of liberation, and that the practice of the remaining aspects of impermanence, etc., is to tame the continuum in order to engage in the meaning of realizing selflessness. However, in the case of the sixteen aspects, the realization of emptiness and selflessness is only to ascertain that the self fabricated by outsiders does not exist, so it cannot be used as an antidote to the innate clinging to the self-established characteristics of a person. Therefore, all of the sixteen paths of impermanence, etc., are not paths of liberation, but are merely means of taming the continuum. In this way, the Lesser Vehicle, which is temporarily suitable as a vessel for the path of taming the continuum, but not suitable as a vessel for the path of liberation, and which is suitable as a vessel for the path of liberation, is one of dull and sharp faculties. Because the main or specifically tamable beings for whom the Lesser Vehicle's pitaka is taught are the latter, and the former are incidentally tamable beings. Although the Lesser Vehicle has the realization of the absence of inherent existence of phenomena, it will not therefore become indistinguishable from the Great Vehicle, because the Great Vehicle teaches not only the clarification of the absence of self of phenomena, but also the grounds, the perfections, the aspirations, great compassion, etc., as well as the inconceivable nature of phenomena that is purified by dedication, the two accumulations, and all defilements. As it is also said in the Ratnavali: "Compared to the Hearer Vehicle, the aspiration and conduct of the Bodhisattva, the dedication has not been spoken of, how can one become a Bodhisattva? Abiding in the conduct of enlightenment, the Sutra has not spoken of it, the Great Vehicle speaks of it, therefore the wise should take it." Therefore, the Great and Lesser Vehicles are not distinguished by view, but by skillful means of conduct, as the noble father and son believe. Just as the mother is the common cause of the sons, and the father is the cause that distinguishes their respective lineages, the mother Prajnaparamita is the common cause of the four sons, and distinguishes them into the lineages of the Great and Lesser Vehicles.

The reason for this is the means such as generating the mind of enlightenment. Secondly, aspiring to attain unsurpassed enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings and training in the six perfections is the general meaning of being a Mahayana practitioner. This is because it is repeatedly stated in the tantras that it is a necessary path even in the Mantrayana. However, there are many different characteristics of the path on top of that. The path of those individuals is the Great Vehicle that leads to omniscience. For the Mahayana practitioners of the Perfection Vehicle, the common body of the path is only that much, but from the perspective of view, it is divided into the Madhyamaka and the Cittamatra. Even so, since there is no explanation of different vehicles in the order of the two, both are one vehicle. There is only a difference in whether or not the depth of reality can be measured, so the former is sharp-witted and the latter is dull-witted. Here too, with whom in mind is the Prajnaparamita Vehicle taught, the main object to be tamed is the Madhyamaka, while the Cittamatra is an incidental or secondary object to be tamed by that vehicle. This Prajnaparamita Vehicle, if divided according to the speed of the path, has five types, namely entering with certainty and uncertainty, as stated in the Scripture of the Palm Print: like two who travel by vehicles of cattle and elephants, one who travels like the moon and the sun, and two Bodhisattvas who travel like the miraculous powers of hearers, solitary realizers, and Buddhas. They are like these examples, the speed of the path is very different, but because they do not have their own vehicles, they cannot be distinguished by the sharpness and dullness of the faculties alone, or by the distance of the path traveled. Therefore, if the vehicle of the result to be reached has a great difference in superiority and inferiority, or if the vehicle of the cause by which it is reached has a different system of path order, then it is established as a separate vehicle. If the system of the path does not have a great difference in kind, then the order of the vehicle cannot be established only by the different internal divisions of the path and the superiority and inferiority of the person who travels on that path. Fourth, the Hinayana practitioners aim to attain Buddhahood
