The mudra is made by holding both hands in fists and pointing the two thumbs. Then, insert the left thumb inside and point the right thumb; point the left thumb. These three mudras are, in order, the mudras of the three families. Then, tying and circling the great samaya mudra of the various families is said to greatly protect against all evils done by external obstacles, etc., so it should be done accordingly. If that is not accomplished, then recite the mantra of whichever wrathful deity is appropriate over mustard seeds to drive away external obstacles. The fourth part has two points: offering and praise. The first is: As before, clear away the obstacles of all the offerings, perform fumigation, and increase splendor. The mantra for making offerings and the mantras of the various families, whatever they may be, should also be recited and used in fumigation, as it is said in Lekdrub, so that is also necessary. Then, cross the little finger and ring finger inwards, align and raise the two middle fingers, bend the index finger at the third joint, and place the two thumbs against the surface, making the mudra of offering water. Recite: 'Sugata Bhagavan, please come, please come and abide here, please accept my offerings, please measure my mind with your wisdom, I am full of respect for you.' And after the mantra of the deities, add arghaṃ pratīccha svāhā (藏文,梵文天城体: अर्घं प्रतीच्छ स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:arghaṃ pratīccha svāhā,meaning: accept the offering), and offer water. With the right hand in a fist, extend the index finger and thumb as if dry, take a flower from the vessel of foot-washing water, and gradually release the fingers, making the mudra. And in the previous verse, replace the place of offering water with foot-washing water, and recite: oṃ pravara sat kāra pratīccha svāhā (藏文,梵文天城体: ॐ प्रवर सत् कारा प्रतीच्छ स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ pravara sat kāra pratīccha svāhā,meaning: Om, excellent, true, action, please accept, Svaha), and offer foot-washing water. Then, if possible, actually bathe the deity by reflecting the image in a mirror. If not possible, spread the palms and join the tips of the index fingers and the tips of the thumbs, making the mudra of bathing, and recite: oṃ sarva devatā acinta amṛta svāhā (藏文,梵文天城体: ॐ सर्व देवता अचिन्त अमृत स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ sarva devatā acinta amṛta svāhā,meaning: Om, all deities, inconceivable, nectar, Svaha), and visualize bathing with great clouds of scented water filled with gold and other precious vases of fragrant water. Then, mentally offer clothes and ornaments, make offerings with music, and sing songs of praise with joy. Then, the right hand gives refuge.

Holding the bent thumb with the left hand, make the mudra of incense. This good divine fragrance that arises from a pure and clean place, I offer with devotion, please accept and make me happy. Āhāra āhāra sa-rab vidyādhari pūjite svāhā. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Chinese literal meaning) Offer scented water with this. The other three, except for the lamp, should also be done with this mantra of offering. Intertwine the fingers of both hands, with the tips of the two index fingers touching each other inside the palms, making a ring shape. Place the thumbs in the palms, making a lotus-like flower mudra. This good divine flower that arises from a pure and clean place, I offer with devotion, please accept and make me happy. Offer flowers with this. Join the tips of the little fingers, ring fingers, and middle fingers of both hands together. Bend the nails of the former behind the root of the latter, extend the two index fingers separately, and place the two thumbs in the palms. This is the mudra of incense. The essence of the forest is pleasing, the divine substance mixed with fragrance, I offer with devotion, please accept and make me happy. Offer incense with this. Slightly bend the index finger from the palm of the receptacle, this is the mudra of offering food. The essence of medicine is pleasing, this food offering of mantra, I offer with devotion, please accept and make me happy. Offer food with this. Join the thumb and middle finger together and raise them, make the hand into a fist, this is the mudra of the lamp. Destroying harm and bringing auspiciousness, virtuous and eliminating darkness, I offer these lamps with devotion, Āloka ya āloka ya vidyādhare pūjite svāhā. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Chinese literal meaning) Offer lamps with this. If it is not possible to offer separate offerings to each deity of each lineage, then bless other kinds of offerings with the mantra of other lineages and offer them. It is said that if it is not possible to actually obtain water offerings and other items, then perform the mudra and mantra, visualize clearly, and then offer. It is said that even painted flowers and other items can be offered, and since the mind precedes everything in actual offerings, the offering of the mind is more excellent.
