It is also translated as "Waba." In the Compendium of Practices, it says: If a practitioner, even having seen the truth, is distracted by farming, business, service, and so on, due to the force of habituation to past imprints, and does not practice the three kinds of conduct; or if other practitioners cannot complete the rituals as spoken of in the tantras because they lack resources and do not practice. Then, at the time of death, will these people go to another realm of existence, or will they attain the state of Vajradhara? As an answer to this question: Even having realized the completion stage, having done everything, one will pass into nirvana in the world; do not have doubts about this. Therefore, knowing suchness, even if one has not practiced the conduct as previously described due to incomplete circumstances, one must completely abandon all views. Death is the ultimate truth, while birth is the conventional truth. Having correctly realized this, one enters the clear light in the hundred paths, abandons the ordinary aggregates, and arises in the order of blessing oneself, generating a firm mind. If one abides in remembering this, then in other lifetimes one will not abandon this remembrance. Therefore, one will become omniscient. Thus it is said. If one obtains the illusory body, it is said that one will definitely attain enlightenment in that lifetime. Therefore, if he has not obtained the illusory body but directly realizes the clear light, then, in the Uttaratantra, it says: The noble ones have completely abandoned the suffering of death, old age, and disease. They are born due to the control of karma and afflictions, but because these are not there, those are not there. This speaks of the Mahayana noble ones abandoning death through the power of karma. And in the Yogacarabhumi-sastra, it says that after attaining the bodhisattva ground, it is impossible to lack resources. But here it is said that because death has not been abandoned due to karma, and resources are incomplete, therefore one does this, and thus is an ordinary being who has not obtained the illusory body. This person obtaining the illusory body after death is the beginning of obtaining the illusory body, and this person's direct realization of the clear light, because obtaining the illusory body must precede the realization of the clear light, so the manifestation of the clear light at the time of death is not the manifestation of direct realization. The end of death is the substitute for the accomplishment of the bardo, the accomplishment of the illusory body, therefore, the Vajrasattva is formed from wind and mind.

Rather, it is to accomplish a body with power, not to accomplish a bardo body that is free to do as it pleases, and then to cultivate the illusory body based on that. Rather, it is through obtaining this illusory body that one then cultivates the remaining path and attains Buddhahood based on that. The Oral Instructions also say: After explaining the path to Buddhahood in this life, now, for the sake of blessing oneself, this order, the yogi, through actions, in several eons, will be truly explained. The end of this saying is: When one's own mind merges into the expanse, clear and extremely joyful, one realizes it is like space. Then, with the power of miraculous abilities, the body of a five-year-old child, when accomplished, one realizes the unparalleled bliss and perfection. From then on, when projecting to another place of birth, the emanation body, is also truly and completely realized. What is said in this way is also similar to the Compendium of Deeds, so it is said that the unparalleled bliss and perfection that is accomplished in that bardo, that is, the accomplishment of the Sambhogakaya, is also combined with the three bodies at the time of the path, because in the five stages, the illusory body is said to be the Sambhogakaya. Moreover, in the first stage, the commentary also says that merging into clear light is the Dharmakaya, and the first Protector is the Sambhogakaya, and so on. Therefore, it is not the final three bodies. Although the Oral Instructions say that it will become like that through transference of consciousness, it also says that there are two situations, whether it is accomplished or not through transference of consciousness. The situation of accomplishment is: the body of a five-year-old child, when accomplished. What is said in this way is that at the stage of accomplishment in the bardo, one is able to arise as an illusory deity body, not that the illusory body is accomplished after the bardo is accomplished. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain the realization as stated in the Compendium of Deeds, and if that is accomplished, then cultivating the remaining path is also as previously stated. If one cannot accomplish such three bodies, then one will be born as the chief of the Vidyadharas, and then gradually accomplish the siddhi of the Great Seal, the Oral Instructions say: If one cannot accomplish the three bodies, then becoming the chief of the Vidyadharas, gradually accomplishing the Great Seal. In this way, through three methods, it is said that that siddhi is accomplished. It explains the three ways of attaining Buddhahood through this life, the bardo, and rebirth, and Buddhahood in the bardo, as previously stated, if there is no skillful means, then what appears in the bardo, for those who have skillful means and secret instructions, is Vajrasattva.
