It is said, "It is not the nature of self-nature." If there is no self-nature, then it is considered to be non-existent, preventing the nihilistic emptiness that clings to emptiness and contradicts dependent origination. Therefore, our own system is: Even if there is no self-nature, all the actions of things that can accomplish the meaning of liberation are reasonable. This is the view of the Madhyamaka school. The wisdom of meditating on the profound meaning is: realizing that all dharmas have no self-nature, not a deeply sleeping mind. It is said that the mind that does not cling to selflessness, like sleep, is not considered to be meditating on the profound meaning. Therefore, without cultivating the view of determining the meaning of selflessness, merely the appearance of emptiness, abiding without thinking anything, is considered to be meditating on the profound meaning, and because of one's own bad wisdom, adding the pervasion of non-existence to selflessness, clinging to it as if it exists truly if it exists. Some say that there is no clinging anywhere, others say that it exists for the meaning of turning the wheel of Dharma, and so on, proclaiming that all the meanings of saying "exists" are truly existent, and like the Madhyamaka collections of reasoning, etc., those who think that this is preaching empty wine are outside the system of the Kalachakra and slander the immaculate scriptures. If it is the cultivation of profound meaning to cultivate the view of determining the meaning that has been established as selflessness by scripture and reasoning, then regarding the desire to briefly indicate one's own view: The analysis of the aggregates is emptiness, like water and trees, there is no essence, the supreme emptiness that possesses all aspects will not change in that way. It is said, how should this be understood? If you cultivate the meaning that has been established by scripture and reasoning and has well cut off the superimpositions, you think that this is cultivating without essence, you are unprecedented. Therefore, that sutra is not saying that the analysis of the aggregates is without self-nature and that emptiness cannot be cultivated. If it is not like that, then it is said that after realizing that all dharmas are without self-nature, one should cultivate. If one does not seek to determine that all dharmas are without self-nature by analyzing scripture and reasoning, merely making a vow to cultivate is a foolish act, and with the reasoning of one and different and the example of the sky flower, through analyzing the aggregate of consciousness as without self-nature, the Madhyamikas proclaimed Suchness, and it contradicts.

It is for this reason. Now, if you wonder what the meaning of that scripture is? It means that the emptiness of all phenomena, which is the emptiness of being devoid of self-nature by their own nature, is not different for all phenomena, but what phenomena are meditated upon in conjunction with what? It is not in conjunction with the aggregates of assembled atoms, but with the appearance of empty form. The reason for this is that if the wisdom that ascertains emptiness and its appearance, empty form, are made inseparable as body and mind, then the wisdom body will be accomplished, but the body of assembled atoms will not be transformed into the wisdom body. Similarly, it is not meditating on whatever emptiness is analyzed, but to prevent the nihilistic emptiness of understanding everything as unreal due to incorrect methods of analysis. Likewise, in the Great Commentary on Chapter Five, it says, "The emptiness that analyzes the nature of the collection of atoms is far removed from the emptiness of annihilation." Thus, it is said that the aggregates are also distinct and the emptiness of analysis is also distinct. In this way, if one does not distinguish whether or not one cultivates the view of establishing the meaning of selflessness, then it is impossible to refute the assertion that the previous system is the meditation on profound meaning. In short, the desire to directly realize selflessness without diminishing even a little bit of self-grasping is a matter of laughter for the wise, because selflessness is obscure to ordinary beings. If at that time one does not even want to ascertain through the general meaning of selflessness, then consider what harm that path does to self-grasping. The Great Dharma Supreme of the Mahayana path of joining acknowledges ascertaining the meaning of self-naturelessness through the general meaning, and the current beginner, if he generates a grasping of the certainty of selflessness and then meditates, it will become a conceptual grasping, so saying that it is not meditating on Suchness is a statement of a restless mind. If someone thinks that the meaning of non-conceptual wisdom is explained in texts such as the Madhyamaka as going after all dualistic appearances are purified, and in the tantras and commentaries here, the meaning of meditating on non-conceptuality is the appearance of various empty forms, so these are contradictory. That is also not reasonable, because the appearance of empty form and the wisdom that realizes it as without self-nature are inseparable in essence, so the appearance of object and subject as separate is not in complete agreement with how it appears and how it exists.
