Furthermore, in the Great Commentary, it says: Emptiness is the appearance of one's own mind in which there is no arising or ceasing of phenomena. Wisdom is the unchanging bliss of fully realizing it. Thus, it is said that in emptiness-form itself, by the nature of arising and ceasing, realizing the nature of phenomena without self-nature is unchanging bliss. Furthermore, in any of the great chariot traditions, by realizing any meaning and becoming familiar with it, one can completely purify the root of bondage to samsara, along with its habitual tendencies. For the meaning to be realized, it is established as realizing the profound meaning and the meaning of non-objectification. This school also believes that the root of bondage to samsara is self-grasping, therefore, merely realizing the meaning of selflessness grasped by it, one must purify the bondage of samsara along with its habitual tendencies. Thus, in the Great Commentary of the fifth chapter, if one revolves in samsara due to the habitual tendencies of the transference of desire, then the answer to the contradiction of saying that one revolves due to ignorance is: Ignorance is, here, the habitual tendencies of desire of sentient beings from beginningless time. Thus, it is said that ignorance in other scriptures and the habitual tendencies of the transference of desire in this tantra, as the root of samsara, have the same meaning. And in the second chapter it says: Those inferior speakers who are deluded by illusion grasp suffering from suffering. In the Great Commentary of what was said, it says: Here, being deluded by the illusion of samsara, the nature of self-grasping and grasping at what is mine, is to grasp suffering from the suffering of hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals. Thus, it is said that being deluded by grasping at self and what is mine, therefore it is considered the view of the perishable aggregate, because that itself is the seed of craving, so it is also said to be the habitual tendency of desire. The root of samsara is self-grasping, this is the view of all schools of the Great and Small Vehicles, Secret Mantra, and the Nominalist school, therefore, the wisdom that realizes selflessness is very clear as the means of cutting the root of bondage to samsara. Therefore, in the Great Commentary of the fourth chapter, it says: Then, one should remember the three roots, namely, generating the mind of enlightenment, pure intention, and completely abandoning self-grasping and grasping at what is mine. Thus, the path of abandoning self-grasping is the path of wisdom that realizes selflessness.
