As its own nature is pure, and the result and cause exist without difference in time, this is Svabhava Self-nature). It exists by its own nature in itself, and itself does not exist apart from it, this is the meaning of Atma-ka (藏文:ཨཱཏྨ་ཀ་,梵文天城体:आत्म,梵文罗马拟音:ātma,汉语字面意思:Self) and Aham (藏文:ཨ་ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:अहं,梵文罗马拟音:ahaṃ,汉语字面意思:I). This is explained as the meaning of the three liberations as mantras, or it is explained as the mantra of the three vajras. Om (藏文:ༀ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:) is the body vajra. By "the nature of emptiness-wisdom vajra," the mind vajra is shown, which is easy. The reason for placing "I" as speech vajra is that because "I" is not a substance, it is merely a designation in words. Or, the meaning of the mantra can be explained as the five families. Om (藏文:ༀ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:) is mirror-like wisdom. Emptiness is equality wisdom. Wisdom is discriminating wisdom. Vajra is accomplishing activity. Nature is all-discriminating wisdom. The last two definitely show the nature of the five wisdoms, that is, the nature of the great Vajradhara. These two explanations are merely understood by separating the different aspects from the wisdom involved in the emptiness of the previous mantra meaning. These three explanations are also said to be clearly elucidated in the Man-nyer, as spoken by the Bhagavan himself in the tantras. In the context of the Hevajra and Catuhpitha, it is said that "first thinking of emptiness, washing away the defilements of sentient beings," etc., establishes the determination of the eighteen elements as without self-nature, and many Indian treatises also explain the view of no-self spoken of in this context. Therefore, when contemplating the meaning of mantras such as Svabhava Self-nature), if one does not have the view of realizing no-self-nature, and practices gross dualistic appearances like a rainbow disappearing, thinking that this is the meaning here, then this is not the intention of any tantra or valid treatise. Shantipa said, "For other mantras of blessing, one should also understand the meaning of the sound of Vajra Svabhava (藏文:བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ།,梵文天城体:वज्रस्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:vajrasvabhāva,汉语字面意思:Vajra Self-nature) Atma-ko'ham (藏文:ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:आत्माकोऽहं,梵文罗马拟音:ātmako'haṃ,汉语字面意思:I am Self-nature) in this way." Thus, for mantras that show emptiness such as Svabhava Pure), although the words are different, one should remember their meaning as previously explained. Shantipa and Men-zhap and many others say that this mantra is for stabilizing and blessing, so after clarifying the meaning of the mantra beforehand, one should bless with that mantra. With discriminating wisdom, the cycle of samsara and nirvana

When it is determined that all phenomena are not established in the ultimate sense, although dualistic appearances do not revert in the field of appearance of that mind, dualistic appearances revert in the face of certainty, so there is no need to separately establish an object of focus where dualistic appearances are pacified. Thus, one should be certain that all phenomena, being free from the two extremes, with the characteristic of being without inherent existence, are the realm of phenomena that is free from all elaborations. As it is said in the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life": "When neither reality nor unreality remains before the mind, then, as there is no other aspect, it is utterly pacified without an object of focus." Thus, one should thoroughly establish all phenomena as emptiness, which is the nature of being without an object of focus. So, what is the need to meditate on emptiness here? In the "Opening Lotus Face" of the "Black Enemy Practice," it is said that the accumulation of merit from the past and the accumulation of wisdom from the future both generate the main deity. Kamala Rakshita said: It is the supreme protector from obstacles. Although these are also partial necessities, the main necessity is that, as will be explained later, practitioners hold onto the pride of the physical body, and the holding of that pride must also be done through the power of manifesting the Dharmakaya, so it is for that purpose. The accomplished Dabipa said: "In the emptiness of self-nature, first meditate properly, the yogi should remember the vows of the past." Therefore, it is said that when entering emptiness, one arises by remembering the vows of the past. Also, it is said similarly in the practice of the Ocean-Born and in the practice of the Hevajra of the Bell Tradition, etc. Furthermore, in order to gather all appearances into clear light and make them into deities, and through the power of generating a strong certainty of view, there is also the necessity of the subsequent appearance-side meditators appearing as illusions, etc. The non-appearance of entering into emptiness is non-conceptual wisdom, and arising from that, the appearance of meditating on the protective circle is the nature of the wisdom of the pure world. The protective circle mentioned in the Hevajra practice "Dispelling Errors" is only a symbol, so one should also believe that all appearances of the support and the supported are the objects of the non-dual wisdom, and are the aspects that appear in that and that. This is very important. Therefore, there is a need to meditate on emptiness here.
